That's nothing. I just got out of a 1 year old Touareg. $22k hit. KBB weren't up at the time(1 month ago), but right now it lists my old Touareg at $29k, and I got 30 on the trade, so that's all the damn thing was worth. Would have jumped for joy at a 10k hit. That was my LAST VW, or Audi, or Porsche, or anything else they make, and not just because of resale.

Trade in is right at $10k below my MSRP but is only about $4000 below what I paid....Hopefully I could negotiate retail for the trade like I did on the Xterra I traded, then I would come out about $1000 ahead
 . I really expected much worse. I hope to keep it for another 4-5 years so thats when I will really be interested to see how the 04' holds when there are several years models to gauge against
