what can i do???

I just bought my truck about a month ago...i abolutely love it, well except the fact that i wish i had gotten the OR and BT package with it.. That's really a bummer..i feel as if the dealer took advantage of me and kindda pushed me to buy their last '04 in the lot just because it was black and i wanted a black truck. It's a lease... you guys think i can do anything about it???

Thanx

IMO, you're pretty much stuck. You're the one that agreed to purchase the truck by signing the paperwork at the dealer. If you think the dealer took advantage of you, why didn't you hold back at the time. Yeah we all have buyers remorse after we purchase something, but in the case of a purchase of something large like your Titan, sounds like you jumped into it headfirst cause you wanted a Titan, not necessarily cause the dealer took advantage of you (not to say it was the right thing for them to do). Just my $.02c worth

That's what I'd do. If BT and OR are the only things keeping you from getting the most out of your truck then add them. At least add the few pieces of OR/BT that you need/want. Why live with regret for 3 years, especially with such easy to add options.

haha...what make u think that, was it the part where he said he only wanted a black truck .

I made the same mistake when I bought a 98 Vette right before I turned 23. It was red, and thats all i cared for...i was waving my check around to any available sales guy.

I'm 24..i guess i'm young but what does that have to do with anything?? it's called personal preference. And also one thing i forgot to mention was that since it was the last truck, i got an excellent deal on it.. that had a major role in buying the truck. Well some of you may be saying "stop complaining and live with it" and it looks like that's what i have to do and take some of your sugesstions and add those stuff to my truck myself.

Good luck and I am sure you will find the components you want to add at reasonable price by doing enough research. Check back to TT.com often and peruse the F/S section for deals.

Yeah, for the OR pkg, the Fog Lights are cheap, if you want that skid plate, go for it... You can probably trade wheels with someone if you want the 17"s. You should even be able to change the rear end gears if you REALLY want to.
As far as the BigTow pkg, the tow hitch is cheapon Ebay, $79-$125. You can even add the trans temp guage. You can buy a new guage cluster from dealer parts dept. or you can get an aftermarket guage and install it somewhere on the dash.

I like modifying vehicles. I think its like having a signature. No one else's truck will be exactly like yours. Also gives you something to do. I know some people don't like tinkering with vehicles, but to each his own. For some, its more like a hobby.

if you really got a great deal, then you might be able to trade it back...you'll take some loss, so it depends on how much money you can roll into an 05. this might not be the best solution offered, but it is a solution....you're never stuck in a lease for the entire length of the lease. it depends on how much money you can afford to fix your mistake of getting into the lease to begin with. good luck

Just do it yourself-save some more$$

Titan04rules,I know the feeling of buying the wrong thing-just because I was in "buy" mode, and the truck was "calling" me.(and I am 53).I got a XE KC,and I keep eyeballing the CC.You did ok,and didn't really miss much not getting the OR or BT.
The really essential element of the BT(THE HITCH) you can add yourself for $200.Many here suggest you get the Nissan hitch since it comes with relays that you will need anyway. The Transmission temp gauge is neat, but not essential. The VDC is nice, but not essential for towing. The Titan has enough power to tow ok with the 2.94 rear end,so just forget about the lower gears.
The only things in the OR PK that are really necessary (if you go offroad) are the skid plates.I'm sure aftermarket ones(maybe heavier duty ones) will be available soon. The shocks on the OR pk aren't anything great(according to some here),so you will be able to get better shocks soon. The OR wheels are sold on Ebay for $300+.Sell you 18's,and get some 17's.
You saved ~1300+ not getting the OR BT,if you are only going to tow~7000lbs or so,just get a hitch, and forget about the rest.Luck.Charlie
