Interesting Readings

These are some interesting articles regarding the Titan's quality issues.

http://www.clarionledger.com/apps/pb...407200359/1027

After reading these articles I'm a little pissed off ... especially due to my current problems and situation. And ... on top of that, there are thousands of other people that have paid around $30000 for a POS. I don't think that we, the consumer should have to suffer because Nissan didn't have their crap together!!

I know you are venting because of your experience but those are all old news articles, 2 from July and 1 from November.

My Titan isn't a POS, sorry about yours.

If you'll also take note, the last article actually praises Nissan for taking the initiative to be proactive as a manufacturer and not let any of those issues slide on their vehicles versus the other manufacturers. Unfortunately, they are not being as proactive with Titans that have left the factory already.

Sorry to hear you frustrated. Mine is still running like a champ.

Yeah, you're right. I am venting.

I knew they we're dated, but I figured since I just found out about them that there had to be others out there who don't know as well. Just trying to help out.

I commend them as well for their correction efforts, but that's not doing me any good since I have one built before the efforts began.

I have worked in the auto industry for years now with (not for) the big three, Nissan, Toyota, Isuzu, etc. I used to just buy from the big three but recently decided to switch to Nissan because of the people/things I have seen. Nissan is usually more focused on quality (design and manufacturing) than the others. I would rather have a vehicle from a new plant with one of the 200 engineers watching it (mine was built in August), than from a 40 year old plant by someone who doesn't like their job.

11k miles

I have beaten the crap out of my Titan for 11k miles, haven't seen the service dept. yet.
Its been all over the desert (going faster than I should with OEM suspension ), down the 1/4 mile track dozens of times, through deep water, etc etc. I've towed over the max. rating, I regularly tow a Jeep Wrangler with both my quads in the bed and cargo (roughly 1500 payload in bed and 4000 lbs. on the hitch).
I wouldn't even say I've abused it, as it handles everything I can throw at it.

Sorry for your frustration. Just be glad you didn't get a 'domestic.' You should be very happy about that.
