dealer financing rate

maybe a dumb question: on the nissan website, they have a 6% financing rate. is that a rate that the dealer is stuck with by nissan, or is it negotiable? anyone get less than that from their dealer?

are you talking about the rate on the finance calculator? if you are that is just a randon rate that they put there. Yes people have gotten lower, alot lower like 1%. Your interest rate is determined by your credit history, and all interest rates are negotiable providing you dont get a promotional rate like 1%. Never ever take what rate they give you at the baragining table, always negotiate it with the finance manager when you are signing the paperwork, always.

You should be able to get 4.5% to 5.0% without any incentives (unless your credit is bad). I've seen the incentives on the '04 Titans as low as 1.0% Just like Polaris said, negotiate it with the finance manager. Usually (not always) they will try to get you to finance with one of their buddies first, who may have a higher rate.

Another thing shop your rates with local credit unions, I usually get a better rate with them if you have good credit. That way you get good finance rate and keep your rebates. Hope to hear about a new Titan soon, keep us informed! Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They started my rate at around 18.5% (trying to screw me for everything they could get). Remember you are the one in charge- I got mine down to 2% after a couple of back and forth sessions. Dont be afraid to get up and leave!
