Bunch Of Complainers!

All I seem to read about anymore on this forum is complaints. I have owned two Titans and have not had a single problem. My first one was born on 12/03, My current one has a born on date 10/04. The first one i put 24k on!
I currently have 6,500 on the new one. No problems! If i worreid about every squeak and rattle, I would not own a Truck!!! A truck is not a luxury car.

I can understand having a brake issue, rear end, or heater issue. I'm talking major problems, not I here a little squeak or rattle and it makes me mad!! So I will complain in every post I make.

How about we just move over to the ford, dodge, chevy forums and help them out some more. I'm tired of these owners coming up to me and saying, " I hear your truck has alot of problems" or " your forums deal with nothing but problems" Come on guys these are Trucks, and they will have rattles and squeaks.

I think Nissan did a great job for a first year new Fullsize Truck. I have owned several chevy & fords. They all have problems is my point.

The point of this, Don't sweat the small stuff and be proud to own the best Dam truck made!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Interesting post CROSBYTITAN, thanks!

I have owned two Nissan Hardbodies with the V6, 4x4 in KC configuration. I want the Titan to be my next truck and I have test driven the F150, the Ram and the Silverado. I just love the 5-speed manual shift tranny and it is this one feature that for me just knocks the Titan out of the park and puts it way ahead of the others. But I too am seeing a lot of people posting about a lot of problems, and I have to admit, it is making me wonder.

You take this thing way too seriously... its a web forum, not Sunday dinner at Granny's. People are going to post questions and complaints to see if there are fixes or whatever. If you don't want to read something, don't read it and move on.

I hear ya brother!!!
But if you will notice, it's almost always the same people complaining.
It seems that we have some people who just like to jump on the bandwagon of every little thing, these are the chronic complainers. "You know who they are" They are the ones who can't wait for a problem to arise so they can get a few more posts in. I think they just love to see their posts, and will post numerous times on the same thread.
Most on TitanTalk are here to learn and to help new Titan owners who have legitimate complaints. And yes, unfortunatly a few Titans do have some major problems, but they are the minority.
I appreciate the ones who do have major issues for posting them. I also appreciate the ones for posting who have had a good experience and enjoy their trucks.

I wonder somedays when I read some of the posts on her if somebody left their account signed on and their whiny little kid didn't get on here and start posting stuff.

I would rather if people want to complain that we have a section titled, "Whiny little B!tches" so that way I know exactly where they are and not to read their posts. Of course, I would be a part of that section b/c I am b!tching about the other b!tchers on this site.

I don't have a problem with somebody posting a problem they have if they found the fix for it and want to share it or if they want to know how to fix it, but can we leave the b!tching out if it, please? That is just an invitation for trolls and the like to browse our site and gives them more ammo in our pillow fights w/ other truck manufacturers.

You'd think they come back to their posts later on so they can reread them and beat off to them.

That was a bit of a flame wasn't it?

Everybody has different expectations, and I wouldn't slam anyone who is unhappy with their truck because expectations should be high on a $30,000 vehicle. I think I'm strongly in the "non-complainer" camp though. My dealer will never see my Titan again except for warranty work or a catastropic failure.
I hate to let anyone do the maintenance on my truck, simply because nobody cares like I do. Most mechanics will let anything slide they think they can get away with, and will take shortcuts to get done. They won't think twice about cramming in a hard to access bolt that feels like it's cross threading, or dicarding a starter heat sheild because it takes 15 extra minutes to get the start back on with it.
I developed my self reliance through the unfortunate circumstance of being broke and driving $300 to $1000 pieces of crap from my late teens to my late 20's. It sure sucked never knowing when something was going to break or the car wasn't going to start, but the upside was that I learned a lot in those years. If you pay 300 bucks for an entire car, you're sure as heck not going to pay someone a hundred to put brakes on it!

The total reliance on a dealer to fix everything on a new car probably SHOULD be expected, I just don't trust them, and ultimately I think it leads to a lot of dissapointment.

I agree that there is a ridiculous amount of separate complaint posts on this forum. I also feel that people throw around lemon law like there is no tomorrow.

HOWEVER, I do not think that people with some real problems should feel like they shouldn't post. Many people post to vent. Hell, even though I agree with you about the majority of the posts here, I MYSELF have posted a thread consisting of my problems and I feel that it is TOTALLY the RIGHT PLACE to post that thread. The argument of not posting if you are having numerous problems because of a "troll" factor is just ridiculous . . . PLEASE!

What I hate is people who take their problems to other threads. For instance, even though I have many problems (SEE HERE ), I do not go around into every thread saying how bad my truck is and how the trannies are crap etc etc etc. I keep each and every one of my problems in my own thread, the way it should be. In fact, if you look, I let the thread pretty much die before I was asked another question on it, and haven't spoken a word since on any thread. I know that people like tnbowhunter and logicjunky backed me up on my thread, and I thank you both for that, because they know I don't go around like a jackass with his head cut off spewing the same poisonous garbage around.

Other people on here know I don't go around *****ing and moaning and looking for sympathy everywhere on here which is, what I feel, the thing that makes my thread and complaints all the more poignant and relevant. Then again, I've been around longer than 15 posts and probably would have searched for a thread like this before posting.

But please don't insult someone like myself by making blanket statements such as all the people who post up their problems are whining b!tches. Perhaps if your truck had been in the shop as long as mine you would have a different tune. I highly doubt, however, that you would restrict yourself to one thread and saving the people on here from reading it over and over again on many threads...AFTER ALL, within your first 15 posts you have already managed to duplicate a topic, so YOU aren't the first to post about this problem either are you? Damn whiners.

I would like to make one more statement. I do appreciate the info on major issues ( Diff fluid, trans, a/c leak) I checked for these after they were mentioned. These things are important, not I hear a rattle and had my truck in the shop for 2 months! I know I am being a smart a@@!

So come on guys lets talk about the Hemi we smoked, the Ford we saw broke down on the side of the road. I use to get alot of useful info and good stories from this forum. How do i install this, or I did this, etc!!

Remember: "Keep on Keeping on!" & "Life's a garden, Dig it!"

I must say that I love my truck. It has the the power, comfort, looks, and room that I could ever want in a truck.
But, my truck and a few others trucks are not without problems. You dont have problems, well congratulations to you.
I post the problems I have in hopes that someone else might be experiencing or have experienced the same issues, all Im looking for is a fix.
I really dont give a damn that you think I or anybody else for that matter shouldnt post truck problems on this forum.
I paid a lot of money for my truck, and I shouldnt be having to worry that I might have to walk home from work because it desides it doesnt want to start.

Chris.

Trikky made another good point and he is very lucid in his statements. He doesn't go around posting on everybody else's threads about problems HE is having w/ HIS Titan. He does a very nice job of containing HIS issues to HIS thread. (I think I am guilty of this on the point of I don't really have any major problems w/ my Titan and point that out on other people's threads. Sorry everybody.)

Maybe it's our country that we should blame for our self loathing and our buyer's remorse that drives us to complain about everything WE THINK is wrong. America is a rich, spoiled country with a bunch of whiners. I might start a thread about this...hmm.
