Talking Have Titan and JUST added NEW Armada to the Family

I have primarily been a viewer on this forum for 6 months and have only posted a couple of times. Have enjoyed the information and expertise(helped me provide dealer with fix for ticking problem - spark plug reset fixed mine).
of the members (well most of them - we all know there are spys and "trolls" lurking)
I have had the brakes done 3 times and scheduled for the 4th this week in only 13000 miles(Colorado lemon law may come into play - new 05 would be nice)

Even with my annoyances etc... I am very pleased to own the Titan. Also knowing that the Armada has NOT been problem free, we just picked up an end of year deal on an 04 Armada. Got rid of our Yukon (which has been problem free since 01 purchase). My wifes first choice was a new Denali XL. One test drive with the Armada and it is now in the garage.

Why the post? Just wanted to let everyone know that we do believe in Nissan and the products they are introducing. I am pretty certain we may have some rattles etc with the Armada, but it, like the Titan is a VERY well thought out and engineered. Compare it to the Fords and GM's and no doubt Nissan has some of the nicest ergo's, and "ease of use" features out there. Not to mention a good ride and a drivetrain that will outperform and out-tow the competition.

Well, guess it's time to go kill a hemi Durango, Escalade or something with the new toy!

BTW - it is a Blizzard White LE - perfect as denver is getting snow/ice right now!!

Congrats on the new ride, I like the Armada's as well. Just hope you have a LARGE garage, LOL.

Congrats on the Armada. My wife has been hinting at doing the same thing...

My wifes next car will be a hybrid accord or prius...at least something to help counterweight the thirsty Titan.

Congrats on the wise purchase. As an Armada owner (switched from a Ford Expedition), I am very happy at 12,000 miles. I've never had any problem and no need to go to the dealer for anything.

You'll have a very good chance to smoke the Durango if you have the big tow package. 0-60 and quarter mile times, as published in several respected car/truck mags for both SUV's are identical, even though the Durango is several hundred pounds lighter and is supposed to have 40 more horses.

I did take my 4x4 Offroad to the strip here back in the summer just to see if the hype on performance was true. I made three runs in 90 degree weather with times in the 15.4's and 15.5's. They corresponded with my G-Tech Pro Comp accelerometer, which showed the same times to within a tenth. G-Tech shows about 3 higher mph, but there are technical reasons for that.

The strip is closed now until spring. With the engine now fully broken in, and the weather cooler, I have retested with the accelerometer and recorded a 15.118!

I've not encountered a Hemi Durango, but have had a couple run-ins with 3/4 ton Ram Hemis and the larger body style 1/2 ton Hemis (quad cab, crew cab, whatever they call them), and was able to pull away from them. The two door 1/2 ton would probably beat me.

It's odd but nice to have all that creature comfort, convenience, cargo and people carrying capacity, all the safety features (like side curtain airbags) and still have that level of performance from something which weighs close to three tons. Life is good.
