Big tow mirror installation

I am going to be replacing the right side big tow mirror on my SE KC due to a apt. gate damaging it (I got off lucky on that one, actually, the d--n thing was closing on me and I couldn't get out of the way due to the cars in front of me, so I threw it in reverse and clocked the inside part of the mirror - cracking the wide angle portion and cracking the housing - miracuously SPARING the body of my truck from the moving iron gate. You can imagine how bad it COULD have been had the gate contacted the body; makes me cringe to think about it). ANYHOW, I'm going to be buying the part and doing a self-installation and I wanted to see if anyone had done this kinda thing on their TITAN. If you have, got any pointers? Is it difficult? Any special tools required?

On another note, my "door rattle" is fixing to get repaired via some new weather stripping that my dealership says will fix the problem. Apparently, the rattle is more of a squeaking of the rubber against the metal and putting weather stripping on the upper half of the door should fix the problem. I'll let everyone know how it turns out.

Quick thinking, and you saved the thin coat of paint on the truck.

As for removing the mirrors, I've removed mine, but they are the small ones (Assembly should be similar). Very simple. Just carefully remove the vinyl sticker inside the door, remove the nuts the pull the mirror housing out.
