Is VDC Included in the Big Tow Package or Not?

Nissan needs to get their Web site consistent. There are different descriptions everywhere I look for VDC.

From what I am reading, you can't get VDC unless you get the side-airbags. But in the descriptions of each feature it says VDC is part of the Big Tow package. And then, when I do a buildout it says I can't have side-airbags if I have an Off-Road package. But ... in the side-airbags description it says you have to have the OR package. Have I confused anyone?

I want to build an '05 Titan LE KC with OR, BT, 4x4, Navigation with VDC. Is this possible?

No...VDC is not a part of the Big Tow pkg on the '05...

It used to be in the '04's...our old '04 had it but it was changed for '05.

I just bought the 05' CC with Big Tow, and no you don't get the VDC with the Big Tow. I would have paid the extra $$$$ to get the VDC. I would have had to buy the side curtain airbags and the sunroof and probably the DVD system. The way the packages are suck but, thats how they save money on the manufacturing side of it.

VDC was part of BT package for the 04's. One of the 05 changes is that it is in the saftey (side airbag) package now. Really dang retarded to me.

That really sucks! I can't imagine not having it now. So what about the side-airbags with the OR. It says I can't have the side-airbags with the OR on the build-out, but it says it's required in the side-airbag description. WTF

I forgot to mention that the '05 I test drove today didn't have the brushed aluminum face plate. I thought that came on all '05 models.

Nope...no brushed aluminum on our '05 either...maybe in an LE for that?

As far as the bags with the O-R I can't tell you on that...we skipped the O-R pkg this time around (had it on the '04).

You're probably right. The one I drove was an SE, but I saw an LE that did have it.

I have BT on my 04 K/C and the OR pkg and I don't think I have VDC. I say this b/c I remember reading in somebody's post on another thread that there is a switch where you turn it off. (I think they were quoting the manual BTW.)

I have an extra switch next to my 'tow mode' button and the differential locker button, is that where it goes? (It could be the tow mode button is it for all I know.)

Thanks.

As I understand it, you can't have VDC and the E-lock.
In other words if you have the E-lock you can not have VDC.

Another package discrepancy?

Correct me if I'm wrong but....

I also noticed in the '05 brochure that the "Brake Assist" included in the Side Air Bag Package is not available when grouped with the Off-Road Package...however, to get the Side Airbag Pkg you have to include the Off-Road pkg on every trim level.

The only way I can read this differently is that maybe the Brake Assist is only available in 4X2's ???

Brake Assist & Electronic Brake Distribution are standard on all 04s. Not so on 05s?

ABLS on 2WD '05 is the 'Traction Pkg' and applies only to the rears. $300.
