Oil Capacity question

Is it me or does everyone elses Titan take more than 6 1/2 quarts to fill to capacity? Mine takes like 7 1/4. I was just wondering cause it's taken that the last two oil changes.

It takes 6 1/2 qts with filter, regardless of what you see on the dip-stick.
Half way between the two holes should be full.

I didn't even see anything on the dipstick with 6 1/2 qts. So not wanting to go over but wanting to be "safe", I out in the rest of the 7th qt.

Some people don't realize you need to give the oil time to drain into the pan.

Wait 30 minutes and then check it.

I put 7 1/2 quarts in on my last oil change to fill it (about 400 miles ago). I just went out and checked the oil after the truck has been sitting in my garage all night and it still read on the full mark. I will continue to use what the dipstick tells me to.

I do realize that you have to let the oil drain....but I do not care what the manual says.....just like the fill capacity on the rear diff.....but to even come close to the fill line in my truck it takes 7 quarts......go figure..
