Yah, you have the front 'bench.' I agree, its more like captains chairs, but if you sit in an LE CC with leather 'captains' you will notice the difference real quick. Still heads above the usual 'bench' you'd find in an older F150 or Silverado.

What sucks about having all this great powder is when you get to Summit in the morning, those damn tractors have "groomed" it all down to ice, so you get home with road rash and big purple scrapes all over if you are boarding all-out. After all, its no fun to go up there and just 'bunny' around on the kiddy slopes.
That larger terrain park eats me up every time. I try to go on a Sat mornin so I have all day Sunday to be sore. I still can't believe you were that close to the resorts. That is an awesome location for such a nice cabin. I bet that propertie's worth some $$.

Still curious on those fogs. They look like they fit great! Where did you get them? Do they mount with a bolt thru the back, like the OEMs? or do they bolt through the bottom/top requiring a hole in the bumper?

funny, i got some pm's on those! i looked around and i really didn't like the stock ones (too yellow and not powerful enough) and i didn't really like anything else either (not much better or way too expensive) so i was in WAL MART and saw a pair of DRIVING LIGHTS not fog lights. they were 55w and give off a blue white light--came with the wiring and switch for $30.

the only things you have to deal with as opposed to stock is the switch is a 'light up' kind (to remind me to turn them off!!!) that i wanted because i wanted to run the wire back to the battery so i could have them on without the lights or key turned on. (see pic) i popped out the far left switch cover to the left of the steering wheel on the dash trimmed a little off the sides of the switch (it has a slight bend to make the switch look more upward) and 3m double sided it on.

the second thing is that they fit great--perfect size. the only downside is that there is a little hole at the bottom of the fog entrance that held the black covers in that you can see if you look close--see pic with my dog in front possibly. but hey no big.

the only other issue was mounting. they come with all the hardware except they are designed to be mounted on a bumper so the back arm pivots. i spot welded the bolts to the back brace (because you can't get to it once the lights are in) and drilled 2 holes in the back of the fog light channel (its flat) screwed them on and 'boomshaka' they are bomb!!!!

if you like them i would give them a spin, as ghetto as wal mart is they do have a great 'return' policy if you don't like them--run them all the time--no issues--no melting--bulletproof so far!

ps--what is 'P' on the 'trim' mean and what is the diff. between XE and SE?

Three letters. MVP!!! (Mammoth Value Pass) $425, no restrictions or blackouts, good for the whole season (Mammoth and June Mtn.). Considering the year we're having this is well worth it. My first trip up this season was the first week of Nov and I've been two more times since. I'm sure I'll get up for several more times before the season is up. It's good for discounted lodging too. Second year I've had it, and I have no complaints.

I bought my Titan in Jan.04 and since then have no need to look at prices of vehicles anymore. However when I was shopping around last year before I bought the Titan naturally I looked at the big three. The three were close together in dollar amounts. Depending on the features the Dodge and Ford ran from $34 to $ 38 K. The Chevy's ran like $35-$39K. These were all 1/2 tons. I could not afford the 3/4 or 1 ton diesel's which I really wanted they were running $40K and up. The Titan I got which is the SE CC 2WD stickered at $32. I talked them down to $29 then had a good trade in for my Jeep so I felt I got a good deal esp. for the technology in the Titan. I'll see if I can get some time to send some pics. - Stay Safe seems like Cali. is getting hit with some extreme weather!

I got it from the service manual. As for the SE vs XE differences, couldn't tell you.

When the exchange rate wasn't terrible like it is now, I found that it was actually cheaper to go skiing in Europe. Off season plane tickets are in the $300-$400 range if you look carefully, and the most expensive lift ticket I ever got over there was $35 at Zermatt, Switzerland, which allowed you to ski all three of their mountains. And I always stayed at hostels or penzions, which are CHEAP!

Now that the exchange rate is bad though, I'm heading to New Mexico or California. (forget Colorado, it's too expensive).

as many things are on the islands, (except pineapple!!) there is a good chunk of markup. it looks like the trucks are about 5-7g's more over there. but hey at least you chose the right truck!!!

mahalo.

we went to June last year. that place is amazing, almost no lines...its not quite as big as mam. but the hills are awesome and gets the same amount of snow. it is the secret (shhh...) of skiing over there. lodging is reasonable and tickets are too. if i wanted to ski over there i would go June every time. have you ever skiied it?

if i went a few times that pass would be way worth it--hope you get a long winter!!!

Stick; I just had to correct one statement you made. You said you got most rain in Calif. history? Not so. You may have recieved more rain than in Southern Calif. history. Where I live in Northern Calif. we average 100 inches a year.

i didn't say 'more rain than ever' just that we have received more rain 'in a one shot non-stop storm' ('short amount of time') then almost ever. i don't know if this storm broke records but it was close!!! nor. cal, especially the mountains always gets a ton more every year, i just don't know about particular one-shot storms!

I know. I have seen so many Germans and French in Austin, Texas in the last few months, I'm starting to think we have acuired a few more languages. With the exchange rate being what it is, I think we are to them what mexico is to us.

Nah probably Tahoe, housing is much more reasonable to come by there.

just got back from big bear again last night saw some great titans and i have just got to say that nothing i have ever driven is this great on mountain roads! it always feels solid, great acceleration to get around multiple cars, semis, and climbs like its on flat ground!

any other people use the titan for mountain driving that can attest to my findings??? how does it do for towing up mountain roads?? (trailer, boat, etc)

go up 38 (the back way) as of yesterday 330 and 18 where closed due to mud/rock slides. 38 was blacktop all the way up and perfect. give yourself some time though and go at an off peak time because obviously everyone else is using 38 too!

get some pics!!!
