What is a sticky?

Can you tell me what at "sticky" is?

I read that term alot, but don't have any idea what it means.

It 'Sticks' a thread to the top portion of the section of the forum to 'stand out' a bit for a period.

So they are only there temporarily.....got it.....and they are only at the top of the topic....got it.

'temporary' in the fact we can 'downgrade' them at any time and they fall back to the posting date of the last post in it.

Just a way for us to keep 'hot' and 'current' topics on the top of each section.

How's your TT crickett? Lovin it yet?

Depends on the context and topic you are discussing...a sticky here may not mean the same as a sticky in another website! hee hee.
