Gas mileage in 4X4

Well because of all the "&^%**((*%" ice that we've had in my neck of the woods I got to burn a whole tank of gas with the truck being in 4Hi.

I drive over 100 miles a night 6 days a week and my gas mileage has been staying in the 17 MPG range since about 3K miles.I now have 15,500 miles on the truck and using the 4X4 for the whole tank dropped my mileage down to 14 mpg.
This should make some of you very happy to hear(big tow/offroad/owners and city drivers) and I'm glad I could do my part to bring a little happiness into your day.

Squid, only you would "complain" about 14 mpg. Heck, that's what the rest of us (with BT, OR or city drivers) get all the time!!!

The weather outside is frightful,
My Titan is salty and sighful,
They say we're going to get some more snow.
Winter Blows, Winter Blows, Winter blows.

Meh, the kid thought he might be close to Squid...comparing weather forecasts I might be close to somebody in San Diego based on yesterday's 65 degree day. Except that I'm in Central, IL and we are getting rain turning to snow today and it's a whopping 33 degrees outside.

Rarjar, I feel your pain. I live in Houston, have a home in Louisiana and 80 acres just outside of Crockett, Tx which we have a few old cows and a small house. It seems every day off I am driving somewhere, but I am not complaining. My wife wants to buy a motorhome and travel. I thought that was what we have been doing. Go figure.
