How should I handle this...?

I just purchased an '05 XE CC and got a sweet deal. The Nissan dealer is giving me three free oil changes a year for as long as I own the truck. I like to drive it too much for only three oil changes a year. Should I use the Nissan recommendations when I do changes myself? I know Nissan is not going to use synthetics.

Yes, just use the 3 free from the dealer and do the rest yourself at proper intervals during the year. If you want synthetic, give the service writer 7 quarts of your choice oil when you drop it off for an oil change.
