05 power rear cab window squeaks.

I have the power rear cab window and it squeals loudly when it rolls up. Going down it is quiet. Any one else have this problem show up yet? I have tested 3 other trucks with this same type window and they are all quiet. Seems to be related to the bottom seal. Have not had it back to the dealer yet.

I've run mine up and down a few times, but it's hardly been above freezing in the month since I bought it. It operates silently except for the sound of the motor.

Probably just the tracks that the window runs on need lubrication. Had that same problem with various Honda Civic's I had....they would get noisy or in some cases come off track. Turned out the lubrication they used dried up easily and caused it to run slow, be noisy, or as mentioned come off track. Nothing serious, just need the dealer to get in there and lubricate

As daltongc said, it's a bit cold here in Pa, but I've run ours up and down a few times with no loud noises.

Spray the tracks with a dry silicone spray. That'll do it. In most cases, itll also make the window go up and down a little faster too.

When I went and test drove one 2 days ago I tried it and it squeaked loud but I sure it just needs some lubrication.

Finely got to the dealer and got it fixed. Had a lower seal rolled inside out. They straightend it out and now works perfect. Had to take the rear wall of cab apart to fix it.

I have the same prob with mine. When I took it in for the 1st oil change I told them about the squeek. Service writer got a big grin and said he knew how to fix it. Grabbed a can of lube and proceeded to spray the tracks. When that didnt fix it he called over the glass guy that was there and asked him to look at it. After the glass guy shot the writer a look for using the lube he found that the inner seal was rolled up causing the noise. He tried to get it back down and added some graphite to help it. Worked great for about a week, but now it is back to making noise.

I concur. I had the same problem and this was how I fixed it. Take the door panel off and spray the tracks. Worked great for me.

Not talking about any of the side power windows, talking about the rear power window on the 05 CC models.

Rear cab window squeeled loudly on the up stroke.
Still OK about 6 weeks after the fix.
