i know street racing is not condoned but...

coming home from work a LOUD 2002 or 2003 Chevy Silverado Z71 with edelbrock exhaust, K&N and i'm not sure what else, pulled up along side me at a light and looked at the mighty titan and then turned back at the light. just some punk giving the titan no respect whatsoever!!! anyways light turns green he punches it, i acknowledge his intentions so given the fact that he had me beat off the line, i figured lets just see if the mighty titan has the balls to catch up. well yes in fact the mighty titan has balls to not only catch up but to slowly pass his roaring Silverado. i looked at him and he looked at my fender as i was passing him and i could not help but slap a grin on my grill. he literally had me off the line but the titan reeled him back in. i felt like i was in a vette for a second, although if i was in a vette my stomach contents would be in my throat. i let up just because the street became hairy and i didn't want to take any risk, plus i proved my point for all Titans. i have no engine modifications and from the sound of his and the gauges on his a-pillar i'd imagine he had plenty of modifications, once again a true testament to the mighty endurance VK56... its amazing how loud exhausts do nothing for me when i am in front so i can only imagine what it would be like being in a Ford/Chevy/or non-Hemi Dodge chasing a titan with a Banks or a Gibson on, that would just sound bad as hell !!!someday when my poor a$$ can afford it!!! anyheww, that's my morning!!! i know there are many that do not condone racing and i apologize for being that reckless guy, but i can tell you - it felt GOOD!!!

"gauges on his a-pillar"??? Wonder what that was for a supercharger or turbo boost guage? You sure this was not a Diesel?

nope, his Z71 was a normally aspirated gas engine. one i've never seen a silverado 1500 Z71 that was a diesel, but yeah he had three gauges on his a-pillar. i mean they could be nothing but oil temp gauge, transmission temp gauge, etc.etc... who knows but him, but hey they could have been for some performance mod as well, all i know is i caught him and passed him. he did not look too happy...

Indeed, nice kill...funny...I was at a light at an intersection just yesterday just sitting there...and this jackass in his Hemi turns the corner, slows down as he's turning to check out the Mighty Titan (that's the name of my truck, btw)....and then proceeds to punch it down the road...mind you..he's travelling in the opposite direction as I'm facing so maybe he was trying to show me how fast he can make gasoline disappear...not sure....but anyway....Another "semi-kill" story....

...On Sunday...I'm at a light on a 4 lane road. I'm 2nd in line behind a BMW 328. Through her back window, I see her fixing her hair then fumbling through her glovebox. Well, the light turns green and she proceeds to fumble through the glovebox. I wait about 7 seconds (as about 6 cars pass us both in the left lane) then give a short little beep on my horn. She looks in her rearview then proceeds to accelerate, advances about 10 feet...then SLAMS on her brakes...goes another 5 feet....and AGAIN...slams on her brakes...of course forcing me to do the same. This just drives me NUTS...because now she's holding up more than a dozen cars behind her with this ridiculous behavior....so I punch the Mighty Titan (please use capitals) and go around her in the left lane while laying on my horn the entire time (as were other cars now behind her)....so what does she do? She punches her car so she can beat me to the part where the 2 lanes merge into 1. Well....the Mighty Titan CRUSHED her 328!!! I was sure to flip her the bird thru my rear window for being such an a$$hole. Of course, she tailgated me the entire time for another 2 miles. I know/think the 328 is faster than the Mighty Titan...but I think I just layed the hammer down sooner and got the early jump...but gimmie a break...JUST FRIGGIN GO WHEN THE LIGHT TURNS GREEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All that is in the standard guage pod in the dash. I am sure he did not add more sensors just to use a pillar mounted pod.

The reason you took the BMW is because the titan is faster. The only way a 3 series breaks 15's stock is if it has a manual trans....I used to own a 2001 330ci at the same time i had my titan ...a buddy was in my titan and i was in the 330ci going to drop it off for end of lease. We wanted to see what the titan had so we went side by site @ the light...the light turned green i beat him outta the hole for the 1st 60 yards due to the Titans Wheel spin. but the the titan just slowly passed on by.

Here is a list of 0-60 times on Beamers...The Titan is just fast w/my mods i run 15.0's @ 90 mph

Yea Spec thats really f**ked up....Some of the women these days think other people in the world don't exist with their actins. They don't care about slowing someone else down but they have to be in front.

WOW man...that's really surprising...I guess I'm so used to thinking that a gigantic truck couldn't possibly out accelerate most cars on the road...but then again...this IS the Might Titan we're talking about...haha...but seriously, with those times you posted, it makes perfect sense why she couldn't keep up!! Thanks!!

Yea ....driving in a car that has no low end you actually feel it pull when you finally get in the upper RPM's. The titan has so much low end off the jump you are @ more of a constant rate of acceleration vs a surge that kicks in at an upper rpm as most cars do
