High pitch noise from rear of truck

I have a high pitch whining noise at 60 MPH sounds like it is coming from the rear of the truck . Goes away at 65 / goes away at 55 ... Anybody experience this or know what it might be ?

And no it is not my wife

I had the same sound on my Frontier and the rear needed to be replaced. The sound travels up the driveshaft and almost hides the fact that the sound is from the back. If you keep it at a certain speed(@60) and then quickly lift your foot and press again you can make it even more noticeable? I did it for the tech and he heard it right away. Took a couple of hours and was perfect once again.

Many of us have the "whine". Nobody was able to explain where it comes from, the last time we covered this discussion. Some of us have changed diff oil to Mobil1 and the rest haven't. Most have the same symptoms as you report. Still waiting for the answer............

I have it, I didn't really think it was coming from the back. It is pretty quiet. I get it especially when slowly accelerating in the 55-60mph range. Once I let off the gas it either gets really quiet or goes away completely.

You are supposed to let your wife sit in the cab, not the bed.

Sorry - I could not resist.
