Utilitrack rails

I was at the dealer today and noticed something interesting. The new Frontier has the utilty bed too and their tracks are upside down compared to the Titan. We have no access to clamp caps or tonneau covers or the like. There are a few people in here who had to remove theirs altogether.
I'm wondering could we flip the track over and it would expose the top of the rail enabling a clamp to slide between the two. It's just a thought...
What's yours?

Clint

Looks like it would probably work but you would have to drill a hole on the 2 longer side pieces because now the hole would be on the top..where there's nothing to screw it into. Seems fairly easiliy done.
Others have also said that the beds with the UT system differ from the others to. There are more reinforcements so I don't know how the tonnos would mount.

Your bed extender will not work with the tracks upside down, if that's an issue. I have the Truxedo low profile soft cover. It sits right on the utilitrac rail and clamps into it Very nicely.

I would be happy to just use the cleats. It appears the Nissan gave zero thought to aftermarket bed covers. They could have lowered the rails and made the accessories differently to fit. This may be why it's different on the Frontier.
Cityboy, Welcome to the forum.
With your cover, do you get any water in the bed?
