bed differences

I'm looking to cover the bed on an LE. The different tonneau companies address the utility beds differently. Some don't make clamps that will work with them. Others do but the cover doesn't meet my needs.
My question is if I was to remove the tracks for now is the bed now the same up under the rails as a bed without the utility bed option?

nope, the bed is reinforced on the side we can't see to handle the load the tracks are built to handle. the track taken out would of course reduce the load handling but the bed is definitely stronger than mine which does not have the utili-track system

Is the under lip the same? The area where a clamp would be placed?
