Weather proofing the leather?

What's a good way to keep the rain and snow from damaging the leather? Will a leather lotion work.

It'll help ....

But ....

You've got to be careful with leather because it will rot if exposed to moisture for very long ... like in the crease between the seat and seat back ....

So ....

So either need to be prepared to wipe them dry fairly quickly or get some waterproof seat covers ....

My understanding is that Wet Okole "means" Wet A$$ ....

lexol conditioner or comparable! I have been doing this with the wifes car for 5 years and her leather looks new...no cracks or signs of wear. They also have a cleaner which I have heard that you should not clean leather very ofter becuase some chemicals remove the oils/fat...so if you do clean them make sure you condition them right after... I have used quite a few diff conditioners...wife likes lexol becuase seats don't get greasy.....Best time to apply is in summer when seats are real hot....winter is going to make that difficult...Good luck!!

Forgot one thing....Really can't water proof leather becuase it needs to breath......You can put on seat covers as Bill_n posted and I also wanted to do this with wifes car, but she hates seat covers..Why get leather if I want to put on seat covers...
