Well, most likely test drives, or demo for the owner, sales mgr, etc for a week or two. What's the build date? Lower corner of window sticker (right side I think) YY/DD/MM format if I remember right or sticker inside of driver's side door will have MM/YY on it.

It would still be new to me, but I'm sure he can find you one with like 13 miles on it like mine had. Options and color were my primary concerns, not odometer. My truck had not been on their lot 2 weeks when I took delivery on it. So, make sure you get what you want in the truck and don't sweat the mileage. 750 to 1000 miles, I wouldn't go that high if it were me, 500 is about cut off for me. Others will tell you order it and get it with 0 or < 1 mile on it, etc. Personal preferrence basically...

If it's never been "titled" it is considered new.
Even if you buy a Demo when you buy it and get it registered the title will say "NEW".
That's the way it is in Tennessee anyway.

I agrued with my dealer about mine being new it had 1300 miles on it, not 13, 1300 miles on it. Apparently it was a manager demo and they drove the hell out of it. The skid plate had scratches as well as the plastic bed liner. I'm still finding baby toys in every nook and cranny. I was able to talk them down in price after I spotted the skid plate damage.

Just think of it as 800 trips down the drag strip in 4WD.

is it an '05? I consider it new still. we bought our '04 2 weeks ago with 350 miles on it and I still consider it new. hell, less work for us and less time to break it in and we can enjoy it faster. If it's an '05 ask him to lower the price like $500 but if it's an '04 then just take it. Also, insurance companies list a car as used even if it was bought straight from the dealer and your the first one to own it if it has more than 200 miles I beleive. But screw insurance companies, damn money grubbing b@stards.

I bought a frontier 6 years ago new in Tennessee with 1200 miles on it. No damage, no scratches, new car smell, everything, and an extra 1200 miles on the warranty besides. Since they give you that first oil change, I really didn't feel like I was out anything and the truck was loaded with every possible option in a Frontier that year. Because it was the last one I got it at a steal.

Same in Alabama. Good luck with the truck search!

Similarly, mine had 125 miles on it. They said they had to have it delivered by truck from another dealership which was coincidentally 110 miles away. Then they tried to stick me with a $250 transport fee. Heh! Some dealers will try anything to squeeze money out of you.

Got mine as a demo w/ 2000 miles on it. Its an 04'. I didn't sweat it though. The thing was immaculate. Not a scratch or anything. Im sure it was driven a little hard, but if the engine blows up one day, well, that's what extended warranties are for. It ended up saving me about another 2 grand on the deal, therefore got me in one with some "extras".
