Thumbs up A call from the plant

I bought my 2005 XE about a month ago and I just got a call from the plant asking how I liked my truck and what I would change about it. That's pretty impressive. I doubt other manufacturing plants care enough to call their customers. Maybe I will be a target for an '05 buy-back.

Bought off the lot. Got the same phone call about 1 month after I purchased mine.

Got mine off the lot too. Got two calls. One from Nisaan and one from the dealer, both about a month later.

Are you guys positive it wasn't just some marketing company? I got a few of those calls. I guess maybe I am just a pessimist but I would get their phone number and then call back the next day to see if they really are from Nissan.

Might be the plant but more likely either Nissan's marketing department, or a part of the same company that handles the survey's. Not every owner is going to get a call about how they like their truck. They pick at random an owner to call so that they're not calling owners from one particular dealer or geographical area. But not a bad idea on the part of Nissan at all, especially on the 05's.

Caller ID @ work reported it as Nissan ...

She also asked if I'd mind if she called back in 3 months ....

She really only asked 2 questions ....

1. Overall ... how did I like my new truck ...

2. What is the one thing that I felt most needed improvement ....

I answered ....

1. Fine ....

2. Needs larger brake rotors and calipers ....

On a different note ...

She's 22 ... recently graduated from college with a marketing degree ... and is single ... but wants kids ....

Being the kind of "civic-minded" individual that I am ... I'm willing to help her out with that last one ... if somebody will take the one before it ...

This is part of Nissan's Quality control. I didn't get the phone call with my Titan, but I did get this with my previous Frontier. Random trucks are tagged for closer examination. Managers follow them throughout the build process and shipping. They then call every so often to see how the trucks are doing.

I bought my Titan exactly thiry days ago and just got a call from a lady that said she was calling from the plant. She asked if I how satisfied with the truck I was. What did I like most about the truck. What design change would I make. If I would agree to do a follow up call in about three months.
