Armada's are Faster

I read Consumer Reports today at the news stand and this issue had some great photos of the Titan. I was reading specs on both the Titan and the Armada and they show the Armada as being 2 MPH faster in the 1/4 mile and .2 seconds faster in the 0-60 test. This truck is at least 300 lbs heavier than the Titan, how is this possible? The only conclusion that I could come up with was very inconsistent testers/testing or the added weight allowed the Armada to hook up instead of just spinning tires, any ideas.
Jim

Two different vehicles. Even two Titans would come up with different times. I've read both ways where the Titan was faster and others the Armada was faster. I wouldn't read so much into it.

Wonder if they had the same tires on both vehicles.

Another possibility is extra weight on the rear in the Armada. Did they make runs in four wheel drive with both vehicles?

Well butter my butt, and call me a biscuit. I've stumbled onto a Armada site where my Titan talk should be.

Leave Now! you freeloading, squatters!
Before I call some of my truck buddies, and we start kicking some sissy station wagon owners butt!

Air resistance?

since it doesn't have the bed, and the armada has its smooth fine lines... who knows.

I don't know that I would characterize someone joining 4 months prior to Squid as having "been here long before you," but I do agree that most of us are all freeloading Titan/Armada lovers!! Besides, Squid was just exhibiting his normal "style", you know, subtle humor that you sometimes have to think about before you laugh!

Maybe its the rear independent suspension. The Armada also boast a few more lbs. of torque....as far as the Nissan numbers go, but I dont see it making any difference.
