Not quite true...yes there have been several fires from rear end collisions, but the C/V was sitting parked just off the highway, and was slammed in the rear from a car going 55-75 mph! At that speed, all bets are off!

There has been more than one and Ford recalled them to fix the problem.

Oh yeah, also recalled for a problem with wheels breaking too.
