Question Blower motor

Has anyone else noticed or experienced a seemingly weak blower motor in their trucks? Mine blows on 3 what any other vehicle I've owned did on 1. Is it just mine or do they all do this?

I have to agree that the blower motor is weak.

I also beleive that the blower fan is somewhat underpowered. Right now in the winter I feel it is satisfactory...I am concerned for what the cool down rate will be in the summer. Cooling is when you need the most CFM's! I guess I'll see in June?

It's not that bad. I am usually using #1 and #2. I have had to use #3 and #4 during some of this cold weather to melt ice off the windshield. Adequate is a good word to use here. A/C blows nice and cold in the summer. I don't recall using #3 & #4 for any extended period of time over the summer. My only beef is that I bought the 2004 LE package and it does not have automatic climate control. I understand it's a part of the 2005 LE package. That sucks.

Maybe I'm misinformed on this but, I don't see where any Titans offer automatic climate control. I had it on a couple maximas and although handy at times, I wouldn't pay extra for it.

I've had my Titan since May. AC in the summer, heat in the winter - plenty of cold or hot, and blower speed seems fine. On position "1" I want it to blow just a little. Crank it up and it really puts out the air. No problems whether it's 95 or 25 outside.

Re: Blower motor

Now with the warmer weather (was 82 degrees here today) I'm again noticing I have to set the fan speed to 4 to get anything I can call A/C to do anything.
Anyone else find the blower to be extremely lithargic? If not...I may have a problem.

Re: Blower motor

I used to have a 1970 Cutlass with A/C that would just about ice the windows on an August day in Phoenix. Nothing else I have ever driven even came close. The Titan's A/C seems comparable to the Camry & Subaru Legacy I have driven in the last few years.

Re: Blower motor

Joe- I have thought the exact same thing! Settings 1 and 2 are pretty much useless in my opinion. And yes, I agree, that you want it very low on setting 1. But I don't see much difference between 1, 2 and 3. I feel the blower is very underpowered. What sucks is we get a weak blower but still get all the noise of an overpowered one. Glad to see others are thinking what I was thinking about it's performance. The vents in the back barely get any flow with the blower on high.

my mom had a 74 cutlass and i remember it blowing real hard, and super cold, like uncomfortable cold, and this was in 94.

Re: Blower motor

Mine is weak on 1,2,and 3. But on the highest setting it sounds and feels like a tornado. Earlier this week (temps at or above 100 for 3 days straight), I had to put the AC knob to about 3/4 position to cool off the truck, but it only cooled off about 20 minutes later when I got home from school. By that time I was ready to turn the knob to about 1/4.

It was realy hot here earlier this week. Even hotter in Austin and Dallas I believe.
