The thing that has always caught my eye was the length of the wheelbase, notice how far back the rear tires are...

That's so they'd have room to put that nifty little "step-thru" door in the side!!! Yeah- something else to rattle!!

I loved that bed side door since the first time I saw it. Great little feature.

That's the "hook" GM will snag new buyers with. They will also have to sell a lot of 4-wheel steering racks to get a decent turn radius from the long wheelbase.

This truck won't make mainstream.

Well I dont know why a 62 year old man would want to "spread bull$hit," I didnt ask him what sticker was, I dont really care...

I havent paid much attention to it, but it looks like a regular mid trim w/o leather, probably comparable to my SE...

Unless he's mistaken about it having a HEMI, I havent paid attention for a badge, but he woluldnt have bought a V6...

The other option is a 4. liter non Hemi v8.

Kinda looks like GM was looking over the Honda Ridgeline designers shoulders. Don't care for the looks of either. Can't beat the lines of the Titan.

$15k may be what he paid/fiananced after his trade. My 4x4 Ram 1500 Qc HEMI stickered at 35,750 without leather - SLT (mid level model) - Invoices at $31,350 - after all incentives & ****in around I got it for $25,000 after beating the hell out of the dealer for 3 days. Even a stripped out 4x2 4.7L QuadCab for $15k is very unlikely - maybe used.

amazing how i loathe GM. all they put out is crap, other than the vette. that's about all they have to hold onto right now.

the new cobalt is a step in the right direction. overall, GM seems to be very out of tune with what customers want. they seem to just make crap to a expect customers to buy it out of loyalty. guess they haven't realized their fan base starting to die off.

You want to know why the Cobalt is a step in the right direction? Honda is supplying the front end and various other parts. It already supplies the 3.5 for the Saturn Vue. CANT BEAT EM, BUY FROM THEM. and you can't get better than Honda. YES I love my Titan......but we'll see when it has 300k on it. I can always count on my Hondas at that mileage. 4 so far and counting.

No he didnt buy it used, as I stated his wife works for Chrysler. So I'm sure they got some kind of employee discount...

I havent known him very long, maybe he is full of BS...

This topic is making me feel better about my Titan purchase though, I had kinda been bummed out since he told me that. Not that I would have bought a dodge, but I kept thinking dang I could have bought two. Or 1 and put the other $15g's on the new house...

Later,
