Even a stripped out 4x2 4.7L QuadCab for $15k is very unlikely - maybe used.

Exactly my experiance. You would be ard pressed to get even a decently equipped midsize truck at 15k.

amazing how i loathe GM. all they put out is crap, other than the vette. that's about all they have to hold onto right now.

the new cobalt is a step in the right direction. overall, GM seems to be very out of tune with what customers want. they seem to just make crap to a expect customers to buy it out of loyalty. guess they haven't realized their fan base starting to die off.

I dont agree as far as they put out crap. My wife owns a Vibe that is a joint project between them and Toyota. Gm designed. Its been a great vehicle for her. She loves it. I will say that other then the vette, and a few of their SUV's, they no longer make anything that I want to buy. Now in a year the Saturn Sky will be out and that will not be the case. Maybe even the redesigned GTO might grab my attention.

I can always count on my Hondas at that mileage. 4 so far and counting.
Where did you get that Honda connection for the Cobalt? Something I have not heard.

Have a friend that is an engineer for GM. And it is possible to buy that cheap. Employees get something called a green sheet price. Basicly true wholesale, then I know a couple of people that after so many years of employment are given vouchers. Alan recieved a $10,000 voucher, then take that off the wholesale price........definately possible. He used his to buy an Astro AWD van for his wife......what a piece of crap. Its got more problems than a country music song. He said he can only take comfort in the fact he got it so damn cheap.

i agree, the saturn sky looked good, real good (saw it at teh houston auto show). as good / better than the miata with a rx-8 / s2000 like interior

that one should be a hit. i'm not a big fan of the front bumper of the solstace. GM needs to give up the front end on their chebby trucks and pontiac cars. it's old, and looks like crap. looks like a cheap, crappy imitation of the BMW front end.

I dont think that is completly true...

The Honda V6 in the saturn vue is ONLY in the RED LINE Vue, not all of the vue's...

I have yet to read anything about the cobalt being connected to Honda, granted I do agree it looks a lot like a cross between a honda civic and an acura rsx...

But honestly I havent read much on them because I would NEVER buy one anyway...

Later,
