I joined the CLUB

SON OF A @$#*&%$. Well fellas I joined the club today. I was going to the bank to get some cash. This lady pulls out from the handicap spot and just sits there so I had to wait until she moved. SURE as SH!T this JACKNUTZ backs out right into my back bumper. Not a scratch on my truck and now this BS. MOTH#@$*(^@$ER!!!

It really isn't that bad may be a 2 inch dent on the passenger's side rear bumper. My question is how in the F@*&^K can they give people like that licenses??? I had been sitting there for at least a minute or 2. The guy was real sorry. He said, if it was my new truck I would be pissed. He just didn't know how bad I wanted to beat on him But I remained calm and handled the first dent pretty well.

Anyway I think I am going to call his insurance and get it fixed. I'll probably get them to knock out the dent and paint the bumper black. I wanted it black anyway . It still pisses me off a little but F it, it's only a small dent in the bumper.

But the first one always makes me hot .

I was watching the lady and my whole cab and bed was pretty much past this dude. I really don't know how he didn't see me or maybe he thought he could squeak past or something. What a freaking JACKNUTZ!! Watch, look both ways, and wait your Fing turn. Who knows what that guy was thinking. I was cursing at the lady cause she was taking so long.

ICE

Could you give me a link to that Stillen so I can see what it looks like, Please.

Sorry ICE ....

The last time I went to renew my license .... there was an elderly couple about 3 spots ahead of me ...

The woman was walking with a cane but was still obviously dependent on her husband standing beside her ... intermittently helping her to stand ...

He had to help her into the examiners chair ....

Explain to her in detail everything that the examiner said ... and questions asked ....

And when the time came to have her picture taken ... he had to sit her in the chair ... straighten up her clothes ... and brush her hair ....

Well ... as luck would have it ... I was that examiners next customer ... and I can be just a bit contemptuous when I think that someone isn't doing the job that they oughta be ....

The examiner told me that as long as she could walk in under her own power ... pass the vision test ... had not had any violations ... and answer the questions posed to her ... that the MOST that she could do is limit her to "15 miles from home" ....

And although I feel compassion for this lady .... she needed be under the constant care of another person .... and had ABSOLUTELY NO BUSINESS with a driver's license ....

Drivers License's should ONLY be issued after satisfactory performance in a driving simulator .... including the ability to read, understand, and follow signs in ENGLISH !!

I have had a bad experience with elderly people that don't know how to drive. My own grandfather backed into my 01' Honda Accord and had the odacity to blame it on me. He was in a large van that he has on buisness driving, didn't look behind him when he backed up, I wasn't in the car (it was parked)....and wholla...destoyed my bumper cover. I still haven't forgave him for it. If he would of admitted that he was in the wrong I would have gotten over it but he insisted it was my fault. Arrrrr old people.

The perfect solution would to make them retake the drivers test annually after the age of 70. Not a lot to ask seeing that cars/trucks are deadly weapons when someone incompetent is behind the wheel.

But this is age discrimination ... and is therefore unlawful ....

One Standard ... that applies to all ... regardless of age, sex, race, etc .... each and every time that they renew their licenses .... is the ONLY thing that will work ....

It needs to be performance based ....

And a simulator is the ONLY way that you can measure each person's performnace by a fixed set of standards ...

Since driving conditions is the real world will vary from second to second ...

I am going to have to try that one HOPEFULLY it will work and I can get a nice loud one. I like the rumble of a nice exhaust!!

Finn, If I had only brought the cuffs, had the Glock just no cuffs.

Bill_n, I blame the lady partially because she took so long to move. But how in the hell can you back up without looking??? Awe never mind, I figured that one out yesterday, you just put it in R and GO, that DumbASRE!!!

This guy that backed up into me wasn't old maybe late 30s to early 40s. I think he thought that I had already past but he didn't realize that the older handicaped lady had pulled out right in front of me causing me to stop. Oh well. Sh!t happens. I am much better today especially since I knocked the dent out and you really can't even see it. There's a small part of the paint that flaked when I used the block on the outside of the bumper but it is basically fixed.

I am going to call the guys companies insurance (company truck he was driving) and tell them I want it painted, (probably to match the truck in RB.) Or, I am seriously considering getting it powdercoated black. Haven't decided yet but I know that it's going to be painted or powdercoated on their dime. I figure a new bumper cost $250 to $300 plus removal and install charges, and some here have painted theirs for $150 to $200 so the insurance will be getting off easy.

Later
ICE

BTW: Bill_n, that present you guys sent to me is going to come in handy when I take off the bumper. Thanks to you and Nolan

Removal and install is a breeze, you can do it yourself.

Did you take photos before you knocked the dent out? I know it's too late now, but you should have left it until the insurance adjuster took a look at it.
They are pissy that way. Once you get your money for the damage then you can do whatever you want about how to repair it.

I took photos plus the guy that hit me also took photos on the scene. I thought about leaving the dent for the adjuster to look at, BUT IT WAS DRIVING ME CRAZY. First dent always does really piss me off. As it sits now, I just want the bumper painted which I think will be less than a new one. If the insurance adjuster gives me any grief, I am going to ask for a whole new bumper. After fixing it, you can't really see the dent any more, it just has some paint flakes where I used the block on the outside and where the guy rubbed the paint down when he hit me. These are SMALL, I mean very small flakes. The total size of the flakes are about the size of one or two of the smiles .

Hopefully everything will go alright with his insurance. We'll see.

I agree about elderly drivers. And with that said, I want to die like my dear old grand dad did-in peace...
Not like the passengers in his car, screaming and hollaring!!!

Only 34 now but I realize that I'm going to be old one day, hopefully not in the NEAR future. LOL

I wasn't pissed, as much, at the old lady that didn't move fast enough as I was at the guy that didn't look before he backed up.

I'm not in BR. I'm a transplant to AZ for work $$$. I lived and worked in BR for a few years, but I'm from NO. I MISS THE FOOD!! Can you send me some Shrimp and Crawfish??? Just kidding. My sister is coming out in a few weeks and is bringing some. She better bring some, shrimp out here is $10 to $12 a pound!!! OUCH!!! I'm used to paying $2 to $3.
