trailer brake

With the Big Tow the Nissan is prewired so where are you mounting the control?

Well ....

There isn't a "good" place ....

I just wasn't gonna mount it to plastic ... PERIOD ....

I started off wanting to use the neat little plastic cubbyhole ...

I tried it several different places ....

And ... in the center ... you can't see it ....

Over to right ... you have the computer connector ... and I almost mounted it just to the left of that connector .... but I didn't like the idea of it between my view and the accelerator ....

I decided to NOT use the plastic cubbyhole ...

And went back to the metal bracket ... and mounted it right in front of the parking brake ...

I feared that I would kick it a lot getting out of the truck ... but I haven't gotten it the first time ....

I thought that it might make setting the parking brake cumbersome ... but I set it rarely ... and it hasn't been an issue ....

I put my Prodigy on the right of the steering wheel so I wouldn't have to worry about hitting it with my knee.....its on the right of the steering wheel and on the slanted bottom plastic snugged to the center console.....out of sight, but seen when you are towing.

I don't use mine very much, so I used velcro and mounted it to the right of the steering column, below the ignition switch. I added a connector close to the controller so I unplug and remove it when not in use. It takes just a minute to stick it back on the velcro and plug it in.

I mounted my Prodigy to the right of the steering wheel, down on the lower plastic edge of the dash. When the dealer replaced the radio and had to hook up their computer to reset the ABS light, I realized that mounting the brake controller in front of the computer diagnostic plug was not a good idea. So I moved it a little to the left. I liked it better in the first postion, but it's ok where it is now.
With all the bragging Nissan does about the Titan's tow capabilities, I wish they would make a better place to mount the controller.
