Electronic Brake Force Distribution?

I can't remember if my '04 had electronic brake force distribution like my '05. Is this something new for '05?

The reason I ask is, I can hear faint noise that sounds like a water cooler when it's trying to breath. I'm positive that it's coming from the master cylinder area and I can also feel it in the brake pedal. The only time it is noticeable is when I'm inching along - pulling in/out of the garage, stop light or a parking space. Is this normal? If so, is it because of the EBFD?

Also ... has anyone noticed that their '05 is slightly louder/throatier than their '04. It doesn't bother me at all. I was just wondering if they made some adjustments. I guess it's possible that all Titans sound a little different from each other.

Well, I answered one of my questions by doing a search on the Internet. '04's do have EBFD ... which means the noise that I'm hearing isn't normal because my '04 did not make this noise. I really don't want to take it in, I barely have 250 miles on it.

What you are hearing is normal. The ALBS (anti-lock brakes) go through a self test everytime you start up. You will hear a slight "clunk" and maybe a vibration in the pedal. You will find this discussed in the Owners Manual.

That does sound exactly like my symptom. But it's in the VDC section. I don't have VDC, but I had VDC on my '04 and it never did that. I've got to go up there tomorrow anyway. I'll see what they say.

Thanks for the info.
