Problems with Electric Windows

Over the past few days i have had problems with my drivers side electric window. When i try to get the window back up most of the time no problem, but i have had three instances where i had to play with the switch a few times before it came up. I did a search and found nothing, just wondering if anyone else has had this issue?

Yeah, pretty widespread issue. I've found that if I wait a few secs the window will come up. Some have had their switches replaced, others the window regulator. I think there's a TSB out.

That seems to happen if you just "flick" the switch or are playing around with it. It'll reset itself in a few seconds usually.

Yep, TSB is out for it. There is a safety feature that interprets the tight window seal as being an obstruction if you try to auto up the window when completely down sometimes. I usually just start raising the window (for about 1 sec) and then click up for the auto up feature. Not a huge issue to me...good luck.

I've had it stop working for me a couple times as well, but waiting for a couple seconds for it to reset and trying again always solved it. Also look at this thread:
Power Window Problem?? Stop Flicking!!
Holding the switch for a second as suggested instead of "flicking" the switch has helped it not occur again for me. My dealer ordered some parts per the TSB, also linked in that thread, back when it first happened and we're waiting on parts for a switch. I don't know if there's a parts backlog because Nissan is trying to fix the situation before releasing new parts, or if they're just behind.

Same here. Hold the switch for a second and let go. No problems since I started doing this.

I know we have been through this before, but I did doscover that if I try to use the key lock to roll them up ( which is very rare that I do this), It "confuses" the drivers window and It won't go up. I haven't had a problem in a while with the auto up/down swithc in a long time. I also quit flicking it too. Just my $.02

Had my window problem fixed (I hope) with the TSB. Found a temporary fix although that if the drivers window won't come back up, put down the passenger window a little then try and put the drivers window up. Worked for me until I had the dealership apply the TSB

I had same problem with mine. The dealer replaced switches and driver and passenger doors, no more trouble since.

I had the window switches replaced in my TITAN a few weeks ago. I have not had any problems since. Take your back to the dealer to have the switches replaced.

Interesting. My dealer ordered the switches for me about 2 months ago and I'm still waiting for them. Me thinks I need to call my dealer and make sure he's staying on top of things.

yeah don't wait for the dealer to contact you. You have to follow up on it just as much, otherwise it'll never get taken care of
