I have the exact same truck but an 04. My sticker was $34,6XX. I paid about 31 I believe here in NY. FL should be a little cheaper.

Invoice. Go to Edmunds.com and get the invoice price and negotiate from there.

I checked the invoice price. The price edmunds says is 28,416. Should that be about what i should get it for?

Yes ... at least within a couple hundred bucks. I've never paid more than $100 over invoice because they're already making a ton of money at that point. If you don't you're going to get a bad deal in my opinion.

4x4 or 4x2?

I have a similar truck --

2005 SE CC *4x4*
Off Road
Big Tow
Captains Chairs
Bedliner, Utilitrack
"Rockford Fosgate" Package

I don't remember the MRSP, but I offered 32K if they added step rails. Paid 32,200 with step rails. At the time I made the offer I had no idea if I was doing well or whether I was being taken as I made my offer without checking Edmunds. Just went with what sounded like a reasonable offer. Looking at Edmunds now it looks like invoice is 32,498 without the steprails.

The price you listed as invoice is WAY less (28 and change)... Is this a 4x2 or was I taken to the cleaners?

I bet it's a 2wd because according to kbb.com you got a good deal. 4wd adds on 3K.
