Any safety risk to raising the passenger seat front?

Do you all think there would be any risk to passenger safety if I raised up the passenger seat cushion a bit? I can't stand how low it is.

How low it is? I don't find either seat to be low. I don't see the need since you're not driving it from the passenger seat but, I also wouldn't see any problem in raising it and inch or so if you find it necessary.

Well, speaking of the driver's seat of course, just pull up next to a Dodge QuadCab or an F150, then you'll know how low Titan's front seat is.
Some guys on the forum have mentioned the PRG's kit improves the ride height a bit, but it's amazing how high them Dodges sit compared to our trucks(almost feels like I'm in a diminutive Chebby).

What? To me my seats sit too high. I would love to be able to lower them. I cant see how you could think the seats are low unless you are a tiny person.

Just do what I said, and you'll find out.

I have had a f150 a few years ago and an Expedition (same as an f150) before the titan. It was higher in height overall. It was 13 inches to the bottom of the running boards. The seat itself has a height adjustment but is no higher then the titans really.

I have to agree with Falchulk on this one. The beltline may make the Dodge seem higher but...I'm eye to eye with them. The 2500 HD models are higher but not the 1500s. The F-150 sits pretty much the same.

I know I have seen a thread about this in the past....Someone Did this, but I think they only raised the front, which I would like to do myself. I have been in the passenger seat and find the front to be low(FOR MY LIKING)and feels like sliding on to the floor. When it gets warmer out I will raise the front about 1 inch.

I think Half Shovel he was referring to how the passenger seat front edge is level with the back and was asking about raising the front edge up.

If that is the question, I'm not too keen with putting spacers under the feet of the chair. By doing so you've increased the moment arm at the connection with the floor. I would be afraid that over time you could be fatiguing the floor around the bolt and increasing the possibility of it tearing through the floor. I posted yesterday some photos of what I think are the bolts that hold the bottom cushion on the seat assembly, I’m thinking of putting spacers there and not messing with the floor bolts. In addition to the possible fatigue factor you would also be shortening the length of the bolt threaded through the floor and might lead to the bolt stripping out?

I have been in the passenger seat myself a few times and have had the same feeling. So have a few friends that sat their also. They made the same comments.
