Security + Plus "Gold Preferred" Plan

Anyone purchase the extended warrantee from the dealer?
What plan and what did it cost you?

I just picked up a new'05 Black Crewcab LE 4x4 this afternoon and
bought the Gold preferred 5 year 100K miles plan. Don't laugh but I paid $1600 for the plan. Did I get hosed?

Nice truck - I'll post a picture in the next few days.

Have Fun & thanks

I got the same plan for 1200. I think that they would have come down even more, but I was tired and ready to get out of the dealership.

Thanks Titancer - Originally they wanted $1895 - I offered 1400.

I can cancel it within 2 months and get a full refund. Still weighing my options

Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the information. I'm working this thru new-nissan.com
How long does it usually take them to get back to you?

Only way I could see to request a quote was via - the what kind
of a truck are you buying page.

I got the 5 year 75,000 mi. plan for free. I ABSOLUTELY refused to pay for it, and the dealer ABSOLUTELY wanted me to get it. After I started to walk out of the showroom, they ended up throwing it in for free. They get commission on the sale and make money on the service requirements. You can always get a dealer to throw it in. It's just some dealers put up a bigger fight than others.

Those guys are great! I spoke with the internet sales person (Chuck) and he passed me on to the finance manager (Fred). They're mailing me a contract for the 5yr 100K policy Price $977 .

I can't wait to go back to Herb Gordon tomorrow and give their guys a raft of crap! They marked that waaaay too high and they flat out lied to me about when/how I could add it later. BBB will be getting a letter.

Thanks to you guys for helping out. Sounds like you saved me a bunch!

Thanks

Who did you contact (phone number or internet site) to get 7/100 for $1000?

I'm considering the extended warranty, but can't seem to locate anyone selling it other than the local dealers who want a ton of money.

Everyone seems to talk about they got good deals, but keep forgetting to post contact information.
