My trucks name is "Buzz"

I posted this a while back but due to large influx of new Titan owners, thought I would run it again. I have a buzz from somewhere in front of me to the left possibly about the middle of the dash and somewhere underneath. It has been with me for 4-5 months. It is only present when the motor passes thru 1700. So I hear it briefly when accelerating and again at exactly 66 mph. The truck, well my truck anyway becomes very resonant(exhaust) at 1700 rpm. this in turn generates a sympathetic buzz somwhere inside the dash. I can play this buzz like an instrument. 65 mph...no buzz, 67 mph no buzz but hold it at 66mph and let the exhaust bellow and buzz city.

Needless to say I have pushed on all exposed surfaces and whatever I can reach underneath while holding it at 66mph (tricky) to try to isolate where its coming from. Even pulled the radio cowling and the defroster grate and tweeter cover I demonstrated it to the service writer and he was amazed. It goes in tomorrow for the 3rd time and I will be amazed if they can even find it because its so intermittant.

Anyone else or am I all alone here.

I have had the same buzz seemingly from inside the center of the dash. And its not the ticking sound which is fixed by the ground wire (because the sound does not increase with RPMs). I notice it most when the engine is cold. It has actually gone away a few times but I would love to isolate and fix it. I will be trying the defroster vent foam fix (as soon as it warms up a little in my neck of the woods) and I will let you know if it works.

No buzz, but I noticed if you put anything in the door pockets and crank Nine Inch Nails or Rob Zombie, the stuff vibrates annoyingly. So now I can't use the storage space. My father suggested Yanni, I suggested he get out and walk.

Well its 24 hours later and they are apparently keeping the truck for longer than a day. No information yet but I told them fixing this is the important thing, so Find the problem. They offered to rent me a car for 27 bucks a day and apply me for a goodwill repayment from Nissan but I declined for now.

Truck is safely back now. No more trips to service because after 3 trys nothing is changed. THe seat squeeked before I left the dealership. I got home and unbolted it and found the problem. There are 2 metal tabs that protrude down into the floor pan at opposite corners of the seat presumably for locating purposes during assembly. I greased these and for the first time I have no more squeeks. The dash buzz is still present but its now plain that there is no expertise available at this dealership to address the problem. NOw most will say baloney but I realize how difficult it would be to find that buzz.

LIke I said , my trucks name is buzzy
