difference in 17s and 18s

I have the 18s and would like to swap for some off road 17's. Is it a simple swap? Would the new rims and tires throw the speedo off? Also I notice a few people on here talk about "smoking" the tires. With my 18s I can get a good bark and thats it, it still takes off like a rocket. Just wondering if the wheel size had anything to do with it.

Yes, it is a simple swap. The difference is in tire size. If you get the 17" wheels (which is what I have), then your tire size is upgraded to 285/70/17. Your speedo will remain true and accurate. As far as smoking the tires, I did it the other night with my 285/70/17's...but, I really dont think the tire size matters. The Titan has so much torque that it will get loose in the rearend if you want it to!

Actually your speedo is probably off by a decent amount from the factory anyways

Both tires have the same overall diameter regardless of the wheel size ... it's not going to matter.
