Question XM Roady2 hooked up to RF aux input?

Hi all,
The Rockford Fosgate system has an auxilary input on the lower right of the center dash panel. Has anyone hooked up an XM Roady2 to this input?

Looks like the poor man's way to get XM into the truck without the $400 factory option.

I hope to do it this way as I use the same receiver in my house and on my motorcycle.

Comments?

Yep! All vehicles with the 6 CD optional radio have that input and can be used for any outside audio source including XM and Sirius radio!

That's what I do. Much better than the FM Mod. We use XM in the home most of the time, in the truck on trips. I took the time to run the antenna above the center-brake-light, but you can probably run it on top of the dash if you like. Haven't tired on a motorcycle. hmmm<g>

Hey featherstone...
I have the roady2 also and it sounds great plugged into the AUX port. I mounted mine with a angle bracket(baught from Radio Shack) right in front of the shifter on the center console. It fits in there perfect...right in arm reach to change the station. Sounds much better than using the RF option that I use in my last truck.
Good luck!

I do the same thing but I was not happy with low line-out output so I went to RS and got a battery powered headphone booster. Works great.

Setting the Roady2 to '9' wasn't high enough? Works on mine, approx same volume as CD/FM.

I don't have the Roady2, I have the first Roady. Maybe they improved it. But I also like to use the booster for my ipod or Portable DVD into the Aux jack.
