Three year old driver... Me!

Three year old driver .... Me!
When I was three and we lived in Guam, I stood on the seat of my Dad's jeep, turned the toggle switch which started the jeep and wiped out the front porch of our Quanset Hut!

I was told later, that charges were not pressed

This was in 1950, and times were different then.

I was 12 when i took my first "joy ride". I had a paper route in Escondido,Ca and was up late saturday night inserting the ads and waiting for the main paper to be delivered to the house. It was raining outside and i had 387 papers to deliver. Sooo.....I took dads 82 El Camino out and delivered my papers with sucess!! On the way home, I had a cop pull behing me a flipped the lights on and i crossed the double yellow... Scared to death, I pulled over and the cop put me in the back seat of the cop car while waiting for mom and dad to get there. Come to find out, My mom called the cops on me!
I will never forget that day!! My A$$ hurt for a week!!
For all the Escondido people, I was on Grand and turned on Rose and went over the hill. I got stopped at the corner of rose/Oak Hill!!!!

LOL - If you didn't take out that quonset hut, the next typhoon would have. I was born on Guam (half Chamorro). I have a couple of cousins on the Police force there so if you were to repeat that offense I'd put in a good word for you.
