Anyone added an aftermarket Toolbox to utilitrack?

Hi there, I want to add an aftermarket (NON nissan) toolbox to my utilitrack rails, anyone done that? what do I need to do to the aftermarket box to be able to add it to the utilitrack? would it be the side rails or the bottom rails?

THX in advance...

You need a box that fits, a drill, and some bolts, some washers, and either cone nuts or unistrut spring nuts. That presumes you just want to fix the box in place, as opposed to a sliding mount.

I want something that slides, so I can always have it all the way back, next to the tailgate and just move it up front when needed...

The only prob. I see with that is when you hook it to the trac it will need to be a solid connection. And the prob. is that when the bed flexes the tool box will try to flex to. When you mount a tool box in a normal fashion to the bed you use 1 J Hook on each side to allow for some flex or you will ruin your box. If you hook it to the trac it could ruin your box and trac system. My $0.02. Good luck. Ive got a toolbox on mine but not on the trac. If you want to see what it looks like I can put some picks on. Let me know.

I would love to see pictures, particularly how you mount the box if possible.

I'ld love to see a seat that slide in the bottom rails and lock in place at either the cab or tailgate. Sort of like the Subaru Brat. Of course they would have 5 point belts.

Here they are. The red circles show where the "J" hooks are installed. One on each side in the middle. That keeps the box from breaking when the truck bed flexes. Good luck!! Let me know if you have questions.
