From the factory, what type of oil

What type of oil are our trucks filled with at the factory? Synthetic or regular dino juice?

For those that use full synthetic, how often are you changing it? I believe I'll change mine for the first time at 1,500 miles, like I've read on here, then change the synthetic every 7,500 miles thereafter. Is this good or no?

They are filled with dino oil from the factory. I switched to M1 0W40 at 1000 miles and change it every 5K miles.

Only way to make certain that 7500 miles is good is to do a used oil analysis.

I think 7500 is fine. Search for oil analysis posts by JetTech. He was getting real good numbers with Mobil 1 0W-40

The 3000 mile change is a racket. Most manuals only recommend 7500. Honda wanted me to leave the original oil in my wifes pilot for the first 4500 miles. Its a very common practice in europe and aisa to leave only change the oil every 8 to 10k. My father has always had a bad habit of going 12 to 15k between oil changes and they have all run well into the 200k range and still going strong before he sold them.
