Question Hissing Sound When Accelorate

I dont know if anyone else has this but when i accelorate and the rpm's are low i get this hissing sound. I dont know if its normal or not . I am wondering if all the trucks do this. Its when I am starting slow i get this hissing sound is going with the rumble from the muffler. When I get on the gas its not there. Just wondering if its a common problem.

Might be the sound of air being pulled in. I have noticed that this truck has a pretty loud induction system.

I am having the same problem. I have been to the dealer twice and they say all is normal. I also noticed the engine began idleing/vibrating more in the steering wheel when the hissing became evident a few weeks ago.

What air filters do you guys have? I have heard what you describe in my truck. If you have a fram air filter, try another brand. I have noticed that fram causes the intake make funny noises. Get a K&N replacement for that truck's stock intake and that should fix it.

I have only had the truck for two weeks and 700 miles on it. So its the stock filter. I dont know if its the intake or if its a problem?

I'm wondering if I'm hearing the same thing. The noise I hear is if I'm cruising at fairly slow speeds (not giving it gas), then I give it a little gas - it almost sounds like the engine takes a breath before it gets going.

I wouldn't worry about it. It will be even louder if you have an aftermarket filter like Airhog or K&N. Normal.

I have this I always thought it was just air being sucked into the intake, I also have that darth vader sounding hiss coming from the a/c system, but I just think it is the truck snorting at other compeditors trucks I think I saw something about that on animal planet last nite I think its a territorial thing. lol
