I've never checked or care to check what my mileage is. I like to know the range, but that's about it.

Re: guys/gals who "flashed" or "reset" ecu

Check this out. My girlfriend did this with her Sentra and noticed seriously improved performance (and a funny smell) and more mpg around town. I have not tried it yet in my 06 Titan but I will at some point as I am getting 12 to 12.5 mpg. That is about 1-2 mpg better than my Chevy Tahoe was getting so I'm not too upset. A friend who recommended it is getting 28 mpg around town in his Chevy Astro van! 3 oz. pre 10 gals is considered the best avg. to use and 2 oz. per 10 gals of diesel.

We run a ratio of 1:320 acetone to gasoline (4 oz per 10 gal). This creates a 10% increase in MPG (conservatively) which translates to a 10% savings in fuel.

Therefore, for every gallon of acetone you run through your car, you save 32 gallons of fuel (10% of 320 gallons).

1 gallon of acetone costs about $10.00 32 Gallons of fuel costs about $64.00

Therefore, for every gallon of acetone used, you save $54.00 (as of this writing).

Can you imagine the gas companies NOT wanting us to get good gas mileage??? ;-)

Re: guys/gals who "flashed" or "reset" ecu

After my truck (05 SE CC 4X4, w/ BT) was broken in, I decided to "rawhide" it through a tank to see how bad my mileage could be. I smoked tires, braked hard at lights , stopsigns, & corners, and passed everybody I could at full throttle. Still managed to get 14.1 MPG on that tank. Best tank has been 16.7 and overall average after 10 fillups is 15.3.

I agree that 9 MPG is a good indication that something is wrong.

One thing I noticed that might have an effect is the way the Titan tranny behaves. Mine seems reluctant to "lock up" in overdrive unless I consciously let up on the gas a little when I get up to speed. If I don't make a point of doing this, especially when driving conservatively, I can go a full mile from a stop before I get that last gear. That can't be good for mileage.

Re: guys/gals who "flashed" or "reset" ecu

My best MPG I got was 19.5 on a drive from Knoxville back to Birmingham. I typically drive at 75 - 80 MPH.
