Well just like the title says I took a test drive yesterday and was very impressed by the Titan. I test drove an '05 CC 2WD LE they didnt have the exact model that I wanted which is a fully loaded CC LE. But at least I got to drive one. The truck is very roomy and of course has TONS of power. If I can find one that I want I should end up with one in 2 weeks or so.
The dealer did say they could do a dealer trade for one but I dont think I want the truck driven from one dealer to the next and racking up all kinds of miles and who knows what they drive them like on the way....its kind of scary to think about. Yesterday when the salesman took us out to their dirt lot he said they had to take a 4X4 due to recent rain so we hopped in a CC Frontier and the guy was driving over the curbs and once in the dirt was throwing mud everywhere. I really dont want my new Titan to be treated like that before I buy it. So if I do go the dea;er trade route I am going to insist that it is trailered to the dealership instaed of driven. The dealer wont tell me where they located the one I want I guess the dont wnat me to go to that dealer instead.
You could always use Nissan's online vehicle locator to find the one you want if you really don't want to go the dealer trade route. Many dealers also have online sales programs and will list their inventory, that's how I found mine.

Well good luck on your purchase, you can just order one and get it just like you want it. You might consider that, would have to wait a little longer but no a/hole driving your truck on the floor board for the first 100 miles or so. Are you can build and search it out on the Nissan web site then you can find the dealer who has it in your region and go pick it up! Anyway they are awesome trucks!!!!!!!!

they'll want to make the sale so be persistent about where its coming from and find out if in fact it is going to be trailered. walk away if they want to charge you for the destination fees for transferring it. if they want the sale make them succumb to your demands that it be trailered without logging miles and that it be free of charge... stick to your
i used to work at Mossy and can tell you their selection is definitely one of the best, considering they're a frickin' monopoly here in San Diego, but being their volume is greater they do have a much larger scaled selection.

Wow your up by China Lake! Where is the closest dealer? Palmdale?
There is a pretty large selection at Mossy.com from the San Diego area if you don't mind driving yourself to find what you want. Good luck!

LOL yep up here by China Lake.....I went to AV nissan in Palmdale. That is the closest dealer. I used to live in San Diego and I never mind going there I can make a nice weekend of doing that. I will go on over and take a look at their inventory. One quick question about nissanusa.com how often is that inventory updated on that site...
It's sometimes more current than the dealer...the info is entered there in my understanding when it 'ships' to the dealer...the dealer may not actually reflect the truck in thier inventory yet because of it.

Thats good to know. It doesnt look like Mossy has anything that I want. But I did find two others. One one San Luis Obispo and one in Duarte CA. Thats kind of funny because the dealer yesterdau tried telling me that there was only one in the western US that he could get. I had known about the one in Duarte and when I asked he said it had been sold but its still listed on NissanUSA.com. I also asked about the brakes and he said that there has been problem but a fix of thicker rotors has already been implemented. Of course this was the sales manager and he was trying to get me to buy yesterday even though I wasnt going to. But as soon as he realized that they didnt have what I wanted he cooled down. I have already gotten a price from that dealer on the truck I want so he actully knew who I was by name....
Location: Black Mountain, N.C. with the mountains and winding roads = FUN!!!

How far is the "SEARCH" area if you look in Nissanusa for your specific Titan.......I thought it was limited to local area only.....not state to state????

The site is updated frequently. When we were looking for our truck, I searched every couple of days and saw the inventories changing. We found the truck we wanted at three different dealers and I did the email thing with the web sales guys. Once we got the numbers right, we drove over to the dealer that worked with us.
Don't let them BS you. Get the truck you want, not the one they want to sell you.
Good luck, and enjoy. We are loving our truck.

That is exactly the route I am taking. I can finally afford everything I want in the truck and thats what I am going to get I wont let any dealer talk me into buying before I am ready or let them talk me into something I dont want. I have found one at two dealers and emailed them both. Of course the both responded with their quotes saying that I had to buy it within the next 3 days to get that price. Well I am not quite ready to buy but I will be by the end of the month. So I will just email them again now that I know they have it. I also figure that if I wait until it gets closer to the end of the month I might be able to get it a little cheaper due to it being the end of the month. I have been getting quotes of right around 38800 excluding the tax and license fees. That is for a fully loaded CC LE witha sticker of 42910 with a savings of about 4110. I would like to do a little better.
Another question that I thought of is can I buy an extended warranty after the purchase of the truck or can I only get one at the time of purchase?
