Just got my new '04 SE KC and can't figure how to set the
clock. Manual says set the hours and the minutes, then what? There is
no start, set, or program button for the clock. The settings stay there
and the clock never starts.
Thanks
Uncle Joe
Did you watch it for more than 1 minute?
That should be all you have to do. Set the hour with hr button and the minute with the min button and all good to go. Otherwise it's broke!

At least it will be right twice a day! Ugh, sorry for the old joke.
Seriously, I thought mine just started counting time after I set it without pushing anymore buttons. But it's been a while since I had to change it. If the manual doesn't say that you have to push anything else, I don't think you have to. Which radio did your truck come with (6 CD changer, Rockford Fosgate, etc)?

I'm not sure what you are talking about, but ever since I got the new RF radio swap I can't set my clock. Pushing the hour and minute button does absolutely nothing. Are you saying that if I unhook my battery overnight that when I hook it back up, all might work well?

That is what it sounds like he's saying. Hey, the only thing you have to lose is your station presets, right? Sounds like it's worth a shot.
Oops, just read that you'll lose your trip odometer also. Still seems like it would be worth trying to me.

Or you could always take it back to the dealer and get one that's not broke?
Yes Squid. That certainly seems a much simpler alternative than popping the hood and disconnecting a cable. I generally try and exhaust all possibilities on my own before going back to the dealership. For me that is a tremendous hassle.

Well that "some" does not apply to me. Taking my truck back to the dealership for every little issue is not only a complete waste of time, but you are begging for something to happen to it which will ultimately result in yet another return trip. I can think of many more productive ways to spend my time.

disconnecting the battery terminal will probably reset the headunit so try that.
If you can't, just go to the dealership. easy done.
