Need Help Choosing An Exhaust

Hello,

New here to Titan Talk. What a great forum. I have an 05 4x4 cc, and I'm looking to put an exhaust on it. I have read that the Borla is really nice and throaty. Do any of you guys have any suggestions. How are the magnaflows and gibsons??? Also can anyone recommend an air intake system?? Do the air intakes affect the warranty?? Thanks

Gibson exhaust

I had a Flowmaters series 70 exhaust put on my 2004 cc. It was too loud for me. I now have a Gibson ss dual exhaust on my Titan. Really love the throaty sound without the resonance that the Flowmaster had.

I have a custom magnaflow system and really like it.

5X11 tru-X dual in and dual out muffler (no h or X pipe) with 2.25" pipes and 3.5"X 18" SS rolled edge tips at the corners. Sound is very throaty at start up and WOT and quiet at highway speeds. Loudest in the city is right around 1850-2000 rpm but still can hear the radio on volume level 11 and carry on normal conversation.

Thanks for the info guys. I looked int several options, and decided to go with the Borla muffler with Borla tips. I have a guy at a custom muffler shop who is going to install it all for around 250.00 The only difference between the Borla kit and the one the muffler shop is going to do is the aluminium pipe. The Borla kit is around 800.00 too. I could not see spending 550.00 more for SS pipe. I'll try to post the sound when I get them. I also ordered the Volant air intake system. Thanks Again.

I pretty much had looked into the Banks all along. I was at the dealer today and there were 3 titans there with all different exhausts (Banks, Gibson, Borla) after hearing the Banks it was a no brainer, plus they had one in stock so went ahead and got it installed and love it.

I have never heard anything except the Borla system. It is deep and not real loud, but sounds aggressive. Is the Banks system very loud??? I have read that it is louder than most other systems.

Excellent choice. No biased opinion here.

Toyota-ish

My old 4.7 V-8 in my old Tundra had a little growl to it with the TRD headers and exhaust. It actually reminded me of Borla.
