The next TUNDRA ???
Check out this article in an Australian magazine 4x4. Although it is describing the next LandCruiser/LX, it does state that the chassis will be shared with the next Sequoia and Tundra.
Note in addition to a likely standard 4.0l VVTi V-6 (from the 4Runner & Tacoma) the other engine choices are in addition to the 4.7l VVTi V-8 currently used are a new all alloy 5.5 liter gasoline engine and a 4.4l twin turbo diesel (295 hp & 427 ft-lbs). If they acutally offer that twin turbo diesel V8 here I may have to take a look...

I suppose those new Tundras will be rolling off the production line down in San Antonio, Texas. The plant is scheduled to come online in 2006(?), I believe. We'll see if there is a boost in Tundra popularity in Texas being that they will be born here!

In my opinion, the lights on the side mirrors, while clever, make it look silly. The truck as a whole looks pretty good though. A step up from the current Tundra's looks.

If gas keeps on the way it is a diesel might be in my future. I wish Nissan would consider it. And the idea of a diesel in a 1/2 ton is not a bad idea.
