Did you get a new front differential? If so, is there a break-in period on that one before towing?

Don't want to cut-in on your dance or step on your toes.

I don't know, but its gonna have to deal with it either way. Truck will get about 100 or so miles on it before it tows the camper. The popup we are taking down weighs all of about 2000 lbs, the travel trailer we are bringing back has a dry weight of 4409 lbs.

Jolie,

Glad to hear that you are getting the truck back, FINALLY. Well I am doing my own happy dance also. Ford did a RAV on my Excursion and I PICKED UP MY NEW 2005 Xcursion Limited today!!!! It's $50 less per month with the 7 year warranty. SO I am very happy.

Good luck with your truck and be careful on your trip.
LATER,
ICE

BTW: I guess I ought to change the sig to the new 05 X .

Thumbs up

Jolie,
Ever since I had the front differential replaced, I have had no problems and it's been just under 1000 miles. Good luck!

Is yours a gas engine or diesel? What kind of gas milage are you getting?
I have a chance to get one on A-Plan and wanted to do some homework before jumping in.

It's the 6.0L Diesel. The tranny blew up 3 times in my 2003 Limited 6.0L. It was pretty frustrating. I still like the X and my gas milage was better than some Titan owners here. I got around 16.5 to 17.5 MGP, hand figured. It's a nice vehicle. If you need any other specifics give me a PM and I'll answer as best as I can. I am assuming you are talking about buying a new one but if you aren't, I have one suggestion, DON'T buy a used one. They make WAY too many chips and programmers for the Diesels. 160 HP chip is a lot of power and stress added to the tranny. I didn't have any mods and the tranny let go three times .

Sorry to thread jack guys

Good luck and LATER
