All leathered Nissans have leather seats front and rear. I've never known a manufacturer to do otherwise. But keep in mind only the "SEATING SURFACES" so just the parts that touch your butt and back are leather (most are this way). The rest, including the rear of the front seats and sides, are vinyl.
I think you'll find that the front seats are leather and the rear are (very good) vinyl imitations. The match is so good one would have to actually be looking hard to detect the difference.
"The leather upholstery in the LE models is sporty, attractive and quite pleasing. The rear seats in the LE are covered in matching vinyl that most people will assume is leather. It's a good sleight of hand."
Not sure where that came from....lol. The rear seats are real leather (or so I was told by the dealer). I only know this because I was looking into having the dealer put leather in my truck. As it turns out, we bought a camper instead so...lol....not gonna be doing it right away. We found that the dealer works with an outfit that installed leather but it's not factory (better) and it's cheaper.
lol...for what they charge, I'd be PO'd to find out my rear seats were 1970s vinyl.

It is actually a mix of both. Nissan claims leather seating surfaces in the front only, because they also claim 5 seats (3 in the rear). The catch is that in the rear, only the 2 outboard seat positions have leather seating surfaces. The center position is the same vinyl as the trim. So they can't claim ALL seating surfaces are leather.
The 2 rear outboard seat positions do have the same leather panels touching only your butt and back as the front do. But not the middle.
Wonder how this all affects how one should care for the "leather".
Leather preservative on the front seating surfaces and outboard rear, vinyl protectant on the rest?
I guess my Lexol will last longer now!

Is the front and back seats leather, or just the front is leather with the back seats made of vinyl, just like almost every other brand.
I know on my Z-71 and my brothers F-150 the front seats have leather seating surfaces the rear where imation plastic, that even took me awile to figure out. I would say the 4-door version of the Ford and Chevy have plastic on extended cabs and real leather on the back seats of the full 4 door versions. As far as my CC it has real leather on the backs seats, anybody know for sure on the extended cab versions?

Can't speak to the 2005's, but the back seat in the 2004 LE King Cab is definitley vinyl. When I had the driver's-side seat replaced (the small one), we tore apart the old seat to check. Whalla...vinyl. Looks to me like the article is telling the truth. The same thing was quoted in an article last year, too. Here's the link:
"Two interior configurations are available: a standard bench seat with column shifter that seats six passengers or an optional Captain’s Chair Package that features two front bucket seats with a gated floor shifter and a large center console. The leather upholstery in the LE models is sporty, attractive and quite pleasing; the rear seats in the LE are covered in matching vinyl that most people will assume is leather."
And the vinyl will match well because the leather is CHEAP and CHEAP and stiff and did I mention CHEAP. Doesn't feel like leather I've seen in other cars or truck but at least it didn't look as low grade as the cloth or I'd rather have the cloth.

my window sticker says "leather front seating surfaces", which is exactly what i have. the rear seats are not leather. I have a KC. Maybe the CC have leather all around.
You're right...I just pulled my original window sticker out and checked it and indeed it reads, "Leather Front Seating Surfaces". I knew I had read a number of reviews which stated this was the case albeit, cleverly matched with the vinyl in the rear and Nissan's site & literature being less than direct in pointing this out. A look under the rear seat at the upholstery will answer any question.
