Just got mine put on yesturday! They feel a litle better, but the bigger thing is I hope they last longer than my next oil change I've had 3 brake jobs (TSB) and all of them were when I needed an oil change!

Got my brakes done yesterday with the final kit. Front rotors definately look beefier than the old ones. Only time will tell. Also had the fuel sending unit in the gas tank replaced. Getting ready to pull my trailer and I thought it would be nice to have a more accurate idea of how much gas I have in the tank.

Skipete.. what did they say about the fuel thing not being accurate ? I have noticed mines is a lil more than a 1/4 tank off. Is that something that is a quick fix ? Please advise

My fuel gauge has always read low. It never showed full on the gauge when I would fill-up and when the low fuel light would come on, it would still have 8 gallons left. It is a known problem with the Titan that others have also posted in this forum. They replace the sending unit on the tank to fix the issue. They request that the tank be as empty as possible before taking it in for repair.

Got mine in today for the first turning of the Rotors. My Dealer Svc Rep is pretty good guy. "Hello Dan". I am going on a road trip at the end of the month and am hoping that they hold up for a couple of thousand miles. Time will tell but I sure feel alot safer right now.
Also had a snag in one of my Titan floor mats. They replaced all of them with new ones. 6500 miles........
Dan says that the new parts are still hard to get.

Just got the "final" fix at 13500 miles (after two "semi" fixes at 3500 and 8000 miles.) This definately feels much better than the previous two jobs. It has been very frustrating and took calls to Nissan, their regional rep and the dealer's service manager. After all of this, I hope they have learned their lesson on how to build better brakes.
I hope so for their sake or can you say "lemon law"?

I had my 1st. brake fix at 2,500 / 2nd at 5,700 and now the permanent fix at 6,800 miles. The dealer was very helpful when I mentioned this was my third disappointment. They even did a wheel alignment at no charge. Brakes are defininitely better. But the gas is killing me!

Was that Victory Nissan in Gaithersburg? Or do I have it all wrong. Dacars was telling me two weeks ago that they were sometimes getting 2 kits a day.

I spoke yesterday to a service rep who had just met with the regional manager for Nissan. The new brake kits are still being allocated, so some people get them and some don't. So far, he said, no problems have emerged with the new brakes. He also said the real problem was the pads, not the rotors, but that the new pads proved to be incompatible with the old rotors, hence the whole new kit.

Anyone have any abnormal tire wear due to the brake problem? I'm not sure if thats what is causing the tire wear but the back tires are worn down the center, tire pressure is and has been fine.

Well just about 2 months later.............I just got the call today that my brake kit is in. I have the appointment set for next week.

I finally got the fix for my Titan...or I hope it was the fix. If Chris were here he'd know.
