Well i have 16K on my '04 SE CC and I just started to experience the brake judder. Coincidentally my 36mo coverage ended 04/09/07.
Called Nissan they said to ask the dealer for "good will" assistance to cover it to which Nissan denied the dealers request.
So I have to spend $1200 for the fix... If I'm going to spend that I might as well go with an after-market kit.
Has anyone else had this issue? What after-market kits are recommeded? I see people have went with the Big Brake Kit by Stillen but I only have a 17" wheel.

I just went thru the same situation. My 36 mo. coverage ended 04/20 and my brakes were essentially smoked when I brought the truck in for service the first week of May, my truck had 39K miles. I ended up paying for pads, but Nissan through a good will assistance payed for the rotors. Are you sure the dealer actually contacted Nissan about the good will assistance? Pretty shocked they didn't help you out any with only 16K on the truck.

Plus I think that because you were only 30days outside the warranty they will do it. I was exactly 60days outside the warranty period.
Taking the beast in tomorrow to have the brakes fixed, does anyone know if the should be replacing all three parts that are mentioned or is it whatever parts they feel should be replaced? Just got off the phone with the dealer...I asked if they had the parts in stock, and he said "well I don't know what parts it will need, I'll have to look at it". So already there is some bs going on. Thanks!
Need advice.
I have Titan KC 2005 with 33K, so warranty will cover brakes and shocks ?
Because, I`ll need it soon. Thanks.
the brake issue was expanded to 36 months regardless of mileage.

My dealership honored the brake recall because my brake judder finally happened at 35,400 miles. They replaced whatever parts that were part of the recall earlier this month. My truck is almost three years old now come next month. They also fixed the rear center seat belt which was recalled. I'm happy with my dealership and of course my Titan!

I purchased my Titan Crew LE in 10/2005 and the Dealer told me that they had repaired the Brake Problem. I later learned that my truck was manufactured before the Break Fix. In 12/2005 I had the Break Judder Problem with only 9,500 miles and they fixed it with no problem. I chatted with the mechanic and he told me then that the fix did not always last.
Then this year I started to notice the Break Problem again. I started checking and found the TSB on this site. Now in July my Break Judder started to get worse with 46,000 miles. I printed the TSB and went to the Dealer. They drove my truck and said I definitely had the Break Judder problem, but I would not get the repair under the warranty because, I already had the fix. I then went to the Service Manager (Jerk) and he tried to show me a new TSB about a one time repair. He started on the Good Will thing which was a Joke. I refused to take no for an answer and he said I would have to call Nissan. He put my tires back on and gave me a 1-800-Nissan 1 # to call. He thought I would Leave. I called the 800 # in the service department with my cell.
I was put through to a lady pretty quick and after gathering my info informed me that my Breaks are under warranty for the 3 years until 10/2008 unlimited miles. She asked to speak to the service manager and seemed upset. I handed him my cell. He looked like he was going to sh#t. In about 2 minutes after he walked away to talk to her, he came back and said that Nissan had decided to fix my Breaks. He then kissed my butt and fixed the Breaks. I had offered to only get the front Rotors changed, but after fighting with them I made them do the whole fix with new pads and everything.
I guess they are trying to weed people out by refusing to honor the warranty. Be carefull with them and do not take no for an answer.
I have a new 2007 KC with 4,300 miles and the dealer just turned my rotors as they determined they were warped. Should they have installed new rotors per the old tsb's or is the 2007 not part of that program?
Service man told me they probably built up rust sitting on the lot and caused them to warp. Haven't heard that one yet.

Thanks for any info.
The service man doesn't know enough about brake rotors. They would have to be rusty beyond saveability to warp sitting on the lot. That would mean they have been exposed to the weather for several years to be that bad. The rust that would be on the brakes from sitting on the lot is just surface oxidation that will be removed after a few easy stops.
I think I'll call my dealer tomorrow and ask if the 08 brakes will fit the 07. That may be a less costly route from the Stillen kit, even if the big brake kit is pretty sweet.
