Just felt a shutter. Nissan should just own up and issue a recall. I will contact my dealer with the updated TSB. The service technicians at my local dealer were quite familiar with Titan Talk. Great job to our hosts!!!!!
I think a 36 month unlimited mileage extension of the warrenty is fair to all. The people who really have bad brakes get their brakes fixed first and people like me and the bowhunter know that we don't have to worry about our rapidly approaching 36,000 mile mark. I couldn't be happier.
I stopped by the dealer yesterday to discuss this new info. It's pretty sad when the consumer gets this info before the dealers do. He said it will be a recall, but we all know that doesn't mean squat, from past dealer-supplied info. Made and appt for Tuesday to get my 2nd judder TSB done. They have none of the newer rotors and said they can't get them, so I'm hoping this second brake fix will last me long enough to get 'em done right the 3rd time. Hopefully by then the new parts will be more readily available.

Good Job NISSAN.
wouldn't that be nice, I just had my brakes done at 34000 miles and was told that it was just a temp fix till nissan comes out with new setup(which i knew) bad news is was also told that after 36000, more that likely i was screwed unless nissan made the fix a recall. I guess time will tell.

I can not imagine there would be any issue. Work that a dealer does has a warranty on the work that they do no matter what it is. I am sure if you look at the receipt they gave for the repair it will say something like "all repairs are covered for 12 months or 12000 miles". I would think that you are fine until 48000 or so. Like Slurppie's link states in post #1 of this thread:
"In order to ensure that all 2004 and 2005 Titan and Armada customers are ultimately able to obtain the new parts if needed for their vehicles, Nissan is extending the warranty on these vehicles for “brake judder” to 36 months/unlimited mileage from the original in service date."
34,000 miles is not a concern because the 36,000 mile warranty is no longer valid, only the 36 months, (on the brakes, according to the link in post #1).

I sent him a PM when he first posted. He didn't see the link.
My crew cab has just over 18000 miles and I just dropped off for the 4th brake service!!
1st: turned rotors
2nd: turned rotors new pads/calipers per TSB
3rd: New rotors per Nissan
4th: will turn rotors for temp fix till parts come in May.
Don't get pushed around on this, be polite and firm for results. Do not let the service writer or manager waffle on you, they know about this problem!

I had my truck in to my dealer here in Nebraska today for an oil change. I asked one of the service managers if they were seeing a lot of Titans back in with brake problems. He stated, "Oh yeah." He didn't try to down play it at all, and seemed relieved when I told him that I've had zero problems with my brakes and have just over 8,000 miles. He said he didn't know anything about a permanent fix coming soon, and that Nissan said to just keep doing what they've been doing. I appreciated the fact he admitted that Titans do have this problem. I also asked him about the differential issue, and he said that no Titans had been in for blown differentials, but that they had a '05 NISMO Frontier back in for one, but that was the only one they've seen.

I am taking my Titan in for brakes tomorrow, first time, 17K miles. Talked to the service advisor, he was very up front about the problems with the brakes. Said they have been told to fix them as many times as necessary with a permanent fix coming hopefully by Sept. This is why I bought a Nissan, no BS from my service dept unlike when I try to get my wife's Ford van fixed. I don't plan on replacing her's with another Ford when the time comes that's for sure.
Went to my dealer today for the seatbelt recall, judder, and radio fix today. They ordered the seatbelt parts and said we will address the other problems when the seatbelt parts come in. I told him the judder is just starting and he said the permanent fix should be here by mid May (rotors, pads, ect.), if I was willing to wait.
The thing that suprised me though, is what the parts manager told me when I went to buy an oil filter ($6.25). Listening in on us, he said that my dealership is going to replace all four rotors for anyone with the judder complaint. Just make sure you use the word judder when I come back.
My computer had a Word document problem, so I can't open the attachment on post #1. Does it mention all four rotors, or has anyone else heard this?
